Power lah Seniors. Thank you for taking some time out of your busy schedule to watch it. Commented. Really appreciate it.
Rodney>>> Yes Boss. Noted on all your pointers. That's how I shoot handheld. Creating 3 support points. Samyang lens do not come with IS. Much of the footages, I didn't use because of the constant and fast bumpiness. Unusable.
- The 1 or 2 seconds shots, going to try on my paintball video.
This will help you decide if the minor shakes of handheld add to the energy/emotions of the piece or detracts from it.
- You are right. I was just trying to do it without any apparent reasons in 02:35-02:37 and the last one the group photo in black and white.
saveDqueen>>>
I can sense the creativity initiative from your side, I do not know if its the case but I felt that you were trying a documentary style with the usage of cut-aways and talking heads.
- Watch too much of Nat Geo. Was kind of influence by it.
- I was trying a workflow where I can do more out of the 2 days event. Previously, I would spend additional half day to do the "interviews" section.
Exposures control was not constant, alot of highlights were blown and seemingly in consumer terms "wah very bright". e.g. - 2:00 to 2:08
Framing, CPL filters and variable ND filters would help, help yourself with this info.
- Yes Yes. Agree with you. Going to use them for the next one.
- My fear was that the bride could be too underexposed that I cannot salvage later in post.
- Oh yes. Framing, it was more of estimation on my LCD screen. I should have pasted a rectangle sticker to mark out a rectangle box.
Effects could be made to cue cuts, but the choice of using flares at several cuts were puzzling as there were no hint of light source. e.g. - 2::30 to 2:32
- Will need to figure that out. Because I was using the flares as a transition. Your point is noted. Will explore that for the next one.
pettypoh>>> Tell me about IS lens. Didn't think of it while shooting. Samyang lens, no IS.
the editing > i might have used most of the interview scenes as a voice-over for "slow close-up intimate moments"
- I think you are referring the middle part where there are no voice-overs. I agree with you. It felt a bit empty.
Thank you so much. Some of your pointers, I need to go read up and do it. I did not think about it. Seriously, thank you so much.
