Ah .
You really make her Love by everyone!
I Love It!
Just one look and I fall in love with her!
No Joke!
Your point of view is remarkable!
Highly Respect
I personally like this one for the off engagement... Quite a pity the right hands a little undertoned and in the shadows...
Don't be afraid of the shadows. You need 'Chiaroscuro' to complete what is missing.![]()
Actually it's just part of the pre-discussions before i meet any one of them.... that includes everything else like what to bring, what makeup, sleep, rest, heels, eating before shoots, and other details that might have been missed like contacts, and safety shorts if they're wearing anything too short.. hair brushes, pressure marks yada yada...
The attire bit... it's usually almost always a single piece attire (neutrals) and a top and jeans/shorts combo depending on model's height.. there no specific way i run it through them though ... and as for tact.... i'd just politely ask if they have the attire available... most of my longer working models will shoot their entire wardrobe for me... so i can just choose from there.... (takes time and effort of course) but for anyone else coming for testwork... it's usually just whatever they have available....
Hope that helps...
Ejun
Hosted Vivian this morning for a short meetupand along the way took some pictures (around my area as usual)... Appreciate Vivian for her very kind patience and enthusiasism in working with me.. and of course, due credits be given her for the effort and willingness to share more about herself... It's a good session...
So here's the usual boring and simple images from yours truly... (As always... critical commentaries and opinions are very welcome
but do also appreciate the models hard efforts... TY!)

What's that!? :bsmilie:
wow, thats' impressive work but i agree that makes the difference between your shots and others - sometimes i can't stand how some of the models dress no matter how pretty they are. but yours is always pleasant. they are always comfortable to the eyes. but well that tremendous amount of work probably would keep me off this arena, nevertheless with the lack of travel portraits here, i still enjoy the posed portraits too.
the face and the lighting is absolutely beautiful in this take. i thought she looks better in the oblique or side profile as the front profile looks broad. i'm not sure if winging out her elbows could help in making the profile less broad and more slender... anyone would advise against this suggestion?
I seldom log in, and expectedly seldom enter this subforum.
Now that I'm in here, it is a pleasant surprise to see your new work that is out of the studio. I feel it is a refreshing change towards the excellent lighting in your studio portrait work (especially of one particular young girl with a violin), but despite the change to location, you made a very eye-pleasing well-executed image series of Vivian.
I think the high-key look appeals to Deadpoet who, if I'm not mistaken, likes high-key too as I have seen in many of his work.
that is awesome!!! i love ur work! very clean and bright, but not over exposed.. awesome!
This one i really like.... although some might find the broadside chest a little heavy... but gosh... she must have one of the nicest smiles in the forums..... Pulled in a little closer just to give more emphasis to her face... which really is her pulling factor.... Do give the lady some commendations(Darn it.. shot too low DOF... missed the back eye..)

the nose for the model seems abit weird? :dunno:
but i'd personally try not to comment too personally on the ladies least they feel a little self-concious... Ejun
that's true. i find it a hard part to be too critical about how people looks in a less ideal manner.. maybe she looks better with her nares facing a bit more downward and less prominent
