I think the high-key look appeals to Deadpoet who, if I'm not mistaken, likes high-key too as I have seen in many of his work.

I think Deadpoet should attend one of Ejun's workshops. :bsmilie:

 The workshops are meant to introduce portrait photography and a rundown of my workflow..... i hardly think DP needs any introduction.... he knows his stuff...

Ejun :)

Well... I think you'd agree that there is more to portrait photography than lighting, location and workflow. Let's just say not all high-key photos are executed well.... and yours are done in such good taste. Simply lovely.

Hi Ejun, of the pics, I like the first one best. Always have the impression that you shoot onli models who are at least 1.65cm tall? No? :bsmilie: Anyway, as usual, love the way you does your PP, I am into lowering saturation too. Vivien (tho I never met her - but seen a lot of her pics in forum) looks different from the pics I have seen her previously (except the eyeliner/ eyelashes part) - More classy looking. Think she'll look equally or perhaps better without the eye make-up esp. in your hands. I do know most models are uncomfortable without the eyelashes.

BTW, am going to have a session with Hazel next week (thanks for intro). Hope to be able to come out something beautiful too.

Hi OshKosh.. thanks for coming in to view and comment..

haha... your impression isnt wrong... Vivian actually didnt meet any of the 3 requirements i have for my portrait models - height, hair length and NO bangs...(the only other model with bangs being Junying ) haha... but I shot her anyway as a special exception...

But it's a good challenge really for me.. since bangs does make models look a tad predictable.. - I still think vivian did a wonderful job though.. :)

As for Hazel's introduction.. you're most welcome.. it's part of my efforts to introduce my friends when they're requested... I dont manage any of the models though.. so never a need to thank me!

Cheers!
Ejun

hmmm... this one is for vivian....:)

This 'artistry' is actually well within everyone's means... and i'd offer back the applause to the models that made the capture pretty effortless...

I take credit... but mildly if you put it in relation to what the ladies are going through just to have a handful of shots posted.... :)

But thank you very much for sincere and well written appreciation.. undeserving, but grateful all the same..

Ejun :)
