For those who got the Barton 1972 braided neck strap - can I ask whether it's comfortable hanging off your neck after a few hours? I'm looking at the braids and the leather and wondering whether if it will start cutting into your skin after a day's shooting.
where can i get spare BLN-1 batteries???
I went down to Courts to buy one spare BLN-1 as I'm going for a holiday in June - but baulked when I saw the $99 price tag!
$99 for a battery??? OMGWTFBBQ!!!
Does anywhere else sell cheaper?
Got mine from SLR @ ~$83. Someone will say 3rd party batteries cheaper but bad experience on my OMD says otherwise.

I've the chrome braided neck strap. Used it for around 1 month already and no complains at all abt it. Comfort wise somehow the braids (a bit stretchy / springy ) seems to help lessen the load and they r simply beautiful. Almost everyone I meet asks abt the strap ( not my camera =(
Yeh - I bought two 3rd party - I don't know what "went bloated" means, but my two wouldn't charge with the standard EM5 charger! I bought it from ebay for USD25 from a seller in HK, so not much I could do...wasted money...Got mine at T K foto for definitely lesser ~15% cheaper for the Oly one.
For EM5, i don't use the 3rd party batteries, got a friend who's supposedly 'good quality' one went bloated and that was enough for me to lose my marbles and guai guai buy an Oly one haha

OK, so here is my tricked up E-M5. Looks like there are no more weight savings... ha ha ha...
The add on list :
1. Leather palm/wrist strap from Herringbone.
2. HLD6 + additional BLN-1 battery.
3. Spyder carrying system with modified bottom plate (cannot remember the name).
4. Ciesta plate to mount camera straps at the bottom of the camera. (D-Ring also allow fastening to Rapid Strap system if needed).
5. Addition steel ring to replace eyelet. This allows the camera to be held via standard mountaineering harnesses.
So you have a camera that can be carried in five ways. Neck, shoulder, D-ring on backpack, strap to chest or on belt back. (Six if you consider the camera dangling off my wrist, seven if you add D-Ring at the bottom to be fastened to the Rapid Strap system, and eight if you consider that the belt harness plate at the bottom is also a tripod mounting plate). Functionality this is pretty much as good as it can get. From trekking, climbing and even horse riding. Tested and it worked perfectly and securely.
Working on a dual camera harness system based on CQC straps we used in the gun clubs for action shooting. Hope that will work out. Will post pictures if successful.
i lost my EP-10 eyepiece... and no stock at olympus river valley. how?
