This was taken with the Distagon 18mm, with a D800E though. Can't really detect the complex distortion.
Well, don't shoot straight horizons head on and don't shoot building at the corners then..
It's all about where you shoot..14mm isn't easy to use..
There's actually a big diff between 14 and 17mm..
But the Samyang is so cheap..how to complain? Sure it has moustache distortion but most times you won't see it unlees only buy lenses to shoot test charts and brick walls..

Distortion looks ok to me, no need to correct. Only 1, the one with sea & sunset, the horizon looks wavy.
Heard that Samyang 14mm is sharper than Distagon 18mm, is this noticeable (e.g. without pixel peeping)?
Anyone has Lloyd Chambers test results on this lens? Seems that the have done some field test on this lens recently
some shots from today

SEL1018 14mm f8 with rear baffle removed, on A7
With baffle removed:
- a little bit of dark corners at 12mm, no dark corners at 14-18mm, but vignetting still visible
- soft/blurry at extreme corners
- distortion appear around the corners (almost no distortion on APS-C sensor)
So, as expected, better stick this lens to APS-C
But it's good to have additional range of 12-14mm (with some compromise) as the APS-C mode is limited to 15mm equivalent.
He's only tested the 24mm 1.5 and is very happy with it. He's using the A7 now with first curtain shutter because of the shutter vibration.
I think you can get the Canon and Nikon Samyang chipped for exif info. Not sure if you can chip it for Sony A7 though.
I am wondering how many amateurs fancy having a bulbous 14mm in the bag?

get the chipped version for canon and use it with a metabones/china smart adaptor keke... exif info intact.
