Thanks, I just got my A620 today at AP.

Now trying to figure how to use it :embrass:

what's the price now , still $640 inc GST ?

is the A620 much better than the A610 (besides the extra MP)?

i got my A610 about 2 weeks back and its been excellent so far. dunno if its me but i felt the exposure from using the flash was much better than my DSLR ... :) using the regular kingston 1gb SD and the camera is still very responsive even when shooting at the best resolution. a vast difference from the A95, A80 and A70 which i used previously. have no complaints on the picture quality and the color even at default settings.

Tried Macro shot for the 1st time :embrass:
My subject is the snail on top.

Despite many shots, the image still look abit blur.

how to improve on that ?

It's a pretty good camera. Power consumption is extremely low. Took great pictures. I used Ni-Mh Sanyo 2500mah and I'm still waitng for the "power to go off".

Just bought the A610 few weeks ago, very happy with it. Everything seems faster, the recording speed, image preview etc.. as compare to my old A40. :p

This camera benefits from a fast SD card, so don't forget to buy a faster one.

Guys, any problem with the swivel LCD latch behind the camera?
Saw a few set at shops seem to be quite loose. Please advise.
How the macro? Anyone using a slave flash other than the recommended canon flash?

is there a lot of noise at iso400 in low light ... ???

compared to f11 .. sure lose out is it ???

I've got mine A620 a week ago. The flip out LCD seems OK, though I immediately noticed that it is more stiff (to open and to rotate) than that of A95. Also (compared to A95):

= a little plastic door that closes USB/power/video ports is rather flimsy,

= a 'power' button is not recessed well, and I accidentally turned the camera on couple of times.

Hi.

Just got a msg from my bro that he had bought a A610 in HK for HK$1900, which works out to be about S$400! That's $150 cheaper than the one I paid for last year!

got mine for around that price 2 mths back as well, maybe the cam's going to be discontinued.

i think so too .. maybe with a A630 / 640 or A730/740 .. lol

Aiyah, I got mine for S$510 on 13 Mar 06 from CP with free 256MB card. Now heard HN have better offer:(

Anyway, does this camera require a highspeed SD card or a normal speed one will do?

anyway, so far no problem with the A610 latch for the flip LCD. Happy with it. also got the LA58F adapter for it to experiment with a reverse lens set up.

took some macro pics yesterday and posted here.

Heres another pic:

Agree with u . After using for 5 day.The flip out LCD cover start to have a small gap( with a click sound when u press both plastic together) :( . Feel like changing but i think it is a design fault. Beside this i think is still a good camera with sharp image with lot control & creativity.
