Well... after playing the music for a few more months, SMRT would have reason to charge commuters more because they take the time to record the music and played it (these are not free, and so they claim)...
dude, if a person wish to suicide, you think a STUPID song like this can stop him/her? maybe this person he dont want to suicide, but after hearing that song "omg !! wat a crazy world !!" he cant stand it anymore and jump.
underground MRT stations have doors so there's unlikely ppl will jump down.
please visit JE or BB, they have barricade now. but it isn't difficult for people to climb over. it purpose is to prevent people ( who is sick or pushes by people from behind) from falling over.
If people are willing to give way we wont have these kind of songs. Look @ those poor MRT staffs @ Bishan have to keep shouting, beeping to have those people move out of the way. These are the people to blame, not the MRT.
I wish they wouldn't use "Mind The Gap" announcements also. It's not like the gap for our MRT like dem big like that. In UK, you really can put whole foot (and maybe more) and I think the warning is warranted but here.. maybe drop $1 coin in?
the gap used to be quite big and yes, you can put your foot in. but then now the train is bigger and they also done some "cement" works on the platform, hence the gap looks smaller .
