no worries. a polarizer might knock down the reflection/ reflective highlights, and darken some parts of the sky, making it more contrasty; but i like how the light is in temperate zones, so it falls under personal preference.


ooops! i guess my understanding of the ND filter is wrong.. :embrass: thanks man. have looked up on the web.. guess in my case it worked to open up the aperture with a correct exposure..

Nice shots..makes me dream of Japan again..i only had my G9 then..

haha! they do look the same! streets were full of trees like this when i was there.. wish they were in full bloom though, it would've been a beautiful sight.

most of the shots were taken with the 17-55 f/2.8 is usm.. some indoor shots with the 50mm f/1.4

best thing about the 17-55 is that its so sharp, u can crop quite a bit!

yup, stayed at Shinjuku Washington.. clean rooms, but a bit small.. :) oh well, just to sleep in anyways..

but Shinjuku Washington is clean yes...

there is this pachinko parlour at the ground floor of the Shinjuku Washington.. i lost 2000 yen in under 5 minutes.. LOL

There use to be an old man who setup shop outside that pachinko parlour late at night selling ramen...Power! very nice...sadly he's not there anymore dunno where he moved to...at least he isnt there last i pass that way
