glad you like them, hope you find the information useful :)

IR photography = Infra-Red photography ... meaning taking pictures by exposing to IR rays. you can check out the IR section http://forums.clubsnap.org/forumdisplay.php?f=77

cool series!! makes me wanna go look see look see...

Eh eikin, your map accurate right?

I think might go Punggol to shoot IR tomorrow, your thread too inspiring and powerful already. Should be using your map to pinpoint the places I want to walk based on your photos.

If get lost, I come back and scold you! :bsmilie: Just joking!

Wonder if eikin got mention:

1) If you go shooting in Punggol, please wear thick pants, jeans would be good, what I did. Luckily. :bsmilie:
2) Don't be like me and go and step in some wet spots to see if it is sticky and muddy and sucks your shoe. Some of the sand there very scary.

Anyways, I need to clarify; for the Punggol East river part, got any clear path that doesn't need you to feel like you're trekking through Malaysia jungle? =( :hung:

Best! Good one there. Never mind, Punggol got self-cleaning system like Olympus DSLR. After you walk through the undergrowth all the mud will be cleared away!

Hehe. Would hate to live there though. =D

hi eikin (or anyone who knows),

i hunted like mad for number 1 today. you mentioned "follow the dirt track" along the drain.

how long did it take for you to walk in?

Is this as in the drain in number 12? coz i did just that and there was no dirt track, so i just bash through all the way until I was completely blocked by water...

back and forth, took me 2 hours.

was i on the wrong path?

i saw the other dirt track. the one that leads to the bridge AND the other side of the rivermouth only leh...

Wah eikin, your photos are damn solid! Makes me want to explore around Punggol. Err...actually, I am staying in Punggol (Punggol Central, to be exact). Hope to tour those places you mentioned. Hmm...maybe if you guys are going to organise a shooting outing, do include me hor. Can come to my place to wash up after shooting and view the photos on the big screen (but must ask wife first) =)

ooops ... sorry for not providing clear enough directions, i'm wondering if the path has been hidden due to not much of maintenance of the bushes and grass. just updated the map, the path is highlighted in orange, use to be easily found

Wow eikin, u still keep it ?

should be still around ... unless my mum throws them away :bsmilie:

thanks canoner :) hi neighbour, my home in Singapore is in Punggol Central too

Thanks eikin!

So was I correct? There was supposed to be a dirt track next to the drain in Number 12?

If so, then maybe there is no more dirt track along the drain in Number 12? It's all just high grass and about 4/5 of the way in, you'd be totally blocked by water in front of you and therefore unable to go to Number 1 and 2 liao. Unless I try another path... hmmm....

If anyone got suggestions for me to get to Number 1, pls let me know.

I tried walking from Number 6 up towards but cannot. Got another longkang blocking that's not crossable. Sigh.

BTW, the small "canal" or longkang of water in Number 6 is totally gone liao :( (not the river lah, of coz :bsmilie: ) I went there today. It's sunk into a few centimetres of water and the wooden plank has sunk in with it.

It's incredible what one year can do.

yup there's a track next to the drain, apologies for the unclear information!

as for the smaller drain beside the river ... i'm not sure if it's affected by tide levels. last time i remember i think it is. water will run back in during high tide i suppose ... the scenes along the drain, by the river and at the beaches will change with tide levels btw, can check newspaper for tide timings ;)
