do you mean the airshow photos? because they are different photos. none of them are merged i just didnt space them out so its easier to justapose the images.

thanks mate.

Chateau Versailles was touted to be one of the pivotal issues that sparked the French revolution to over throw the monarchy at the time. It was also probably due to the extravagant nature of Queen Marie Antoinette and the amount of coffers that was spent to maintain the gardens and chateau. Chateau Versailles is the biggest chateau on the palace grounds but there are 2 other chateaus, which served as get-away chateaus for the king and queen, and a hamlet for the queen to live out her fantasy as a milk maid. (the photo above) Not to mention a huge 1.5 km canal dug out in the middle of the gardens.

I tried to stay clear of the cliche shots

Some snaps from a recent Austrian Road Trip

In a place called Excalibur City (a theme park) near the Czech / Austrian border.

Does this look like Skeletor? Im not sure how many CS'ers grew up on Masters of the Universe...

Near the Hofburg Palace i managed to catch this one... The statue was made of bronze with some water stains along the face which made it look like is was crying .. the sky was overcast and this helped with the mood .. played a little with the levels and desaturated the colours.. wala

This stopover at Vienna was a short one .. a couple of hours .. so I only had a short time to look around ... and stop interesting things .. something not so cliche if possible .. difficult!!

Then we moved over to Belvedere Palace. clouds helped with the photo but the wind didnt help with the reflection on the pond ... shucks.

well if its one thing i learnt ...

Moving on to the Czech Republic ...

first on the list .. Hrad Karlštejn. Built by Charles IV to store the crown jewels and holy relics. To put it into modern context.. This was his personal safe deposit box .. and a pretty big one at that.

What amazed me about Prague other than its eastern european architecture personality was the fact that most of the aristocrats or parlimentary figures that were well... "removed" from their positions were done so by .. well ... being pushed out of a window to meet a somewhat spectacular fate when cordially introduced to the surface at which the building stood upon. yes ... that seemed to be the popular method for "removing" people in the Czech Rep.... just get them close to a window and .. wala .. well i always believe there's something new you can learn everyday ... needless to say i stayed away from windows or ledges around the local population .. haha

My take on Prague

During our walks we saw some interesting places.. not o cliche of Prague

Urban decay (this was actually outside our hotel..), kinda felt like walking out of an army barracks into a war zone everytime we stepped out of the hotel.
