I just want to say that this photo really caught my eye. Love the composition and it does look brilliant in black and white. The little human silhouettes in the bottom third certainly add scale and certain stillness to the setting.

Hi there. I really think you have one of the best collection of Travel Photos that I've seen in CS so far. You photos are simply very captivating, and moving from one photo to another is very inspiring. It really shows that you're having good fun. Good job!

Beautiful pics you have there.
Hope I can get some of those shots u got. When I am there in march :D

Any suggestions on where is a must to go?

thanks mate. i guess a part of working abroad is to immerse yourself with the culture of the lands when you have some free time away from work. as they say all work n no play ....

PM me which particular countries you intend to visit and I will give you whatever information I have. The most important thing is to have fun while you are there.

I took this serene shot at the beach in Nice, France very early on a summer's morning. By 9am the place was swarming with beach goers.. its was really quite crazy! Totally opposite to this photo.

i would also consider doing a squarish crop there.

very nice air show shots, i can't say the same for the rest though, but these are very very nice, so to me, it was worth the filtering through. :)

Then to Omaha Beach (St Laurent s Mer). D-Day, 65 years after the Allied Forces landed. Relics from the past were still evident. Along with a 16" German Artillery battery that was used to defend the coastline. When you stand on the beach embankments at Omaha Beach you will understand why thousands of Allied soldiers paid for the freedom of Europe with their lives. A drastic comparison compared to the landing site at Utah Beach (to the west) and Gold beach (to the east).

Hi dapr0digy, can i find out some stuff about normandy?
me and my friends are taking a trip to france and spain in june. during our stay in paris, we want to head down to the normandy beaches. can't find much info on it online, perhaps u could help? :)

to get there, do we take the train from paris to caen or bayeux? (the journey is about 2 hrs i heard).
any idea how much does the train ride costs?
and how did u get about between the different beaches? bus? or train?
we prefer to go free and easy, rather than tours...haha

thanks for the help! :)

Carnival Duck Shoot......

Well this takes me back to those days when there was a carnival zone at the upper floor of Parkway Parade way back in the days like early 80s.

There used to be this game where you would "shoot" these ducks that moved around and they would fall over ..... I so happened to chance upon this cloud formation during a sunset shoot and well it looks to me like there are 5 animals here .. (from left to right) a small duck, a large duck, a turlte humping another turtle ... and a whale?? just coming out of the "water" .. ah well.. the things we do while waiting for those extra special shots. sheeesh :sticktong

Prague Revisited.

Definitely worth the visit. There is so much history in this formerly Communist country. Remnants of the old regime are still visible today but the country is slowly coming out and evolving. Funny thing is that when I was there I counted a whole load more Americans then Czechs!!
