hi, thought of getting FZ28, but not sure if I am to take photo @ night using the default len without tripod and flash, what will be the quality of it?

sorry, novice user, thought of getting it. I had been using Panasonic compact camera.

Psychologically, if you said no naughty thoughts ,the association has been made consciously, which meant you thought about it. If it appears in the conscious, its definitely in the sub-conscious as well. =)

Heres a simple experiment: Try imagining how a white polar bear looks like. After that, say to yourself "I must not visualize a white polar bear" for 5 minutes. And you'll notice how many times the polar bear pops up in your head. =) When you say you don't think of it, or forcefully suppress a thought, you usually increase the chances of recall, by a lot.

Anyway I think I saw some going for like 4 USD

you were saying tat u wan to take photo at night... so i am guessing tat u mean u are taking night city scape... if tats the case, i will suggest a tripod no matter wat camera u use, becoz u will require long shutter speed

i find tat the only disadvantage for fz i think would be the noise when at low light indoor condition... other than tat, its quite a good cam.. u might wanna consider getting a 2nd hand FZ, coz i seen a number of FZ28 at the WTS section

Anyway guys, sorry about this but I'm going to have to withdraw my offer for the dealextreme site! I misread their conditions, it actually states that you need to buy at least 3 of the SAME item before the discounts apply. Therefore I don't think its of any use to compile orders.

Can I have a Polar Bear, I should be able to keep one in the cold cold climate I face when Amy finds out I spent $280 dollars on a fishing reel today, it will be quite chilly in the Clunk household, I can tell you now.
Better not tell her yet, she can find out when she gets the statement for c/card, gives me a few days to come up with good reason other than BBB.

Sigh... its not sharp. They were 2 separate shots by the way, if it matters. (it does, the moon oscillated during the time between the 2 shots. Mathematically, we are able to ...
1) calculate the mass of the moon
2) calculate the mass of earth
3) determine the gravitational forces acting on the 2 bodies is it GMm/r^2?
4) Calculate the rotational speed of the moon
5) Calculate the distance between the 2 surfaces
6) ... calculate the eccentricity of Ombre.

It is only back pay of a 4% /year pay rise that the Government messed about for more than 18 months, so it works out that after tax about a lump sum of $6000.
I dun think it is a cultural thing unless it is Singaporean culture. I want the trouble and strife (wife) to take care of the finances in our house. If it was not for her we would not be able to travel overseas evry 10 weeks. If I was in control the travel would be out, but I would have a fanatastic collection of cameras, fishing rods and reels and very little else.
Amy is brilliant with finances, I am bloody useless. It is all about balance, she is the ying, I am the yang. She is save save save, I am buy buy buy.

I like your twin moons. I was thinking of taking a shot last night but had to go to dinner with some friends of ours that are departing this morning a year long caravan trip around Australia. After we got home and I confessed about my purchase I got scolded, threatened, scolded again:nono:, I did the standard "Yes dear, no dear, you are right dear, you are always right dear" speach with the sad puppy look on my face:embrass:, I thought it was prudent not to ask if I could buy the Tcon and the Raynox!!!!!:angel:

Lol..., well, I can't say thats the case for my family. My mum complains about my dad's expenses and vice versa. But truth be told, neither are good spenders. Uninformed, and they spend on things they don't need. Haha! Me I spend loads too! =X But well at least I know I'm getting the best deals =P

Cannot wait, especially because we will be staying with my wife's second son and my favourite daughter-in-law. I know I should not say that but it is tue they are such a lovely couple and Yen Li is tuely fabulous, down to earth, thoughtful and very sensible.

Had a blast fishing today even though we got blown away 6 times by Golden Snapper that could not be stopped. I had 30kg leader broken and hooks staightened. We managed to get four from 1- 3kg in the boat but have no idea what size the monsters were that broke us off.
We had drags fully locked but could not stop them.

This is the smallest golden snapper about 1 kg

Overcast but still very hot

All the time we were being watched.

Hi guys, I was loading some pics on our desktop pc and poof I think the motherboard got fried.
Cannot start it up, I am surpised I can still access wireless network with laptop, I thought main pc had to be on???

Yup, this is the fishing reel that got me into trouble, all ok now.
PC has died a horrible death.

Pic 3 is quite cool, but will be nice if we can see the hook, will be a keeper shot for sure. At the moment, can't tell its a rod!
