www.picasa.com

download this software into your computer. It will be your album. once you paste your pics in any file on desktop, it will automatically go to Picasa 3 (The newer ones). Its photo editing tools is very remarkable.

I used that and Photoshop. :D

1 & 2 sleep outdoor. 3rd one sleep comfortably indoors. :)

Nope, all are wrong, the first two were sleeping on the job, the last one, I am on holiday, which sadly :bheart: is about to come to an end. Melvan is meeting me tomorrow to go to the Jurong Bird Park in the after-noon then Friday evening I am off back to Darwin.
I have enjoyed this trip to Singapore so very much, I am sad that I could not stay longer. Thank-you to the FZers that I met on the two outings and Ay 6810. You are all a great bunch, very friendly and helpful and I trust we can all meet again in June.
Skyguy and Ombre you two guys are fantastic with you organising skills, although Skyguy could improve his route planning just a tad. "Are we there yet?"
Vinze, thank-you for the fishing experience, you are welcome to come to Darwin at any time and I will take you fishing, not much chance of you catching less than what I caught haha.
In fact there is an open invitation for any of my new-found friends to come and visit, you will not have to worry about accommodation. We would be happy to have you come and stay with us.

Thank-you all once again. ;)

Which one is the odd one out? And why?

Not taken at a 45 degree angle
whole body in frame unlike the other 2 with chopped feet.

Hi all, well I am back in the land of Oz. Touched down about an hour and a half ago 4am , did not sleep at all on plane cannot get to sleep now. Too many things to do today, too many things running through my head. Having a cup of green tea, hope to fall asleep soon.
Have to walk around to a friends place to pick up the Honda, hopefully I can get the Goosebump removed next week. Another friend is bringing Amy's Jimney around about lunch time. A local fishing radio program starts any minute, if something is biting in the harbour it could be worth wetting a line, I will post some pics just for Vinze if I can talk my fishing buddy into joining me.

Clarence, your pics look great, I like the fountain and the pink flower.

Melvan, how did your pics from Jurong Bird Park turn out, also could you please forward to me the info for HDR.

Starting to slow down now, feeling a bit tired now might hit the sack and catch a few zZZZs

Hope you guys are going to have outings on a regular basis, keep the interest up.

Amy is still in S/pore actually she is in Cameron Highlands right now but will be in S/pore for CNY.
So while the cat is away the mouse can act like a rat!!!! :bsmilie::devil: I wish!!

Some attempts at HDR cc please.

A) good balance of details, window panes, sky, structure, etc etc. This is real HDR =) Color a bit lacking, perhaps turn up the contrast a little? Good shot here.

B) Again, great balance of details. Good shot over all... post processing needs some work. A cyan color-casting is coming into the pictures, the tree and window panes are off... and hm, what happened with the left corner? there is a mirage effect there. "wavy" distortions.

c) simply over-done. =P I have to say I don't like it haha. Too much color cast.

Overall, A is the best... B can potentially be good. =) tweak it somemore.

Hi ombre,
Ok, understood, here is another, could you please explain about tone compression and detail enhancing tabs the results are quite different.

i like the first and second image, details are there, but the third image seems a little 'bluish"..

Nevetheless very good for first time :D

Gotta ask Melvan, he's the pro at HDR now.

To be frank, I am crap at HDR. =X what I do, I usually use Photoshop, I don't know how to use photomatix, well I don't have the original at least and the watermark is irritating.

Basically I would try to get all the details in, and then do touch up with photoshop only, not the automated stuff on photomatix...

P1030641_39_40_1_copy.jpg

Here's an example... I used your pic... did it in 2 minutes so if its kind of crappy, haha forgive me, infact you can see my brush marks all over.

Basically I'd use Levels and curve to correct the contrast and exposure... if you see some Grey casting, which your original pic has, it means the contrast is too low, push it up a little.

Another trick is to use a layer on top, set it to blend > overlay... and just paint on the layer..

In the pic above, I painted the sky with dark green overlay, and the waters with dark blue overlay...

And... another cheat tool is the burn tool. I burned the bricks and you can see the details much better... although its overdone here.

If things are too dark, use the dodge tool... I did that for the trees in the background.

I gave the buildings some slight whitish haloing at the top... =X

The big fat cloud was brought into the picture with the burn tool as well.

Yup, just to share some simple tools that can enhance the picture... do play around!

My fountain with nice looking sky :p
