The power of Sony/KM Lens!

as Steven Holl (unfortunetly he is not a photographer, he is just an architect, usa) said
"Less Can Be More", so i think i want to try the less color and less light in doing portrait pictures. like a small exploration for my self, i dropped all the setting at my camera(saturation, contrast, shapness, zone to level -3) and continued in Photosop CS 2 with lowering the brightness and saturation (with others ajusting/ editing). and i find that sony cameras and lenses are good too for the lower color setting. so i repeat what Steven Holl said in my own version "with sony dslr+ lens, LESS color setting still CAN make pictures BE something MORE"
Have an interesting shotting time and happiest moment with your sony dslr for all, cheer ;p

Well done abang Ahmad, i like the minimalistic approach! It reminds me alot of the kind of shots I used to take so many years ago.

#34 Portrait of Friend 05 (Mario Wibowo, La Salle, Singapore 2009)

This time i wanted to know and to try how far i could get "bokeh" from sony lens. so after i took pictures of my friends at La Salle, i tried to frame bokeh of light (exterior lighting of parking bulding that facing the La Salle Building) with my friend Mario Wibowo as a model (he is also a photographer, espescially in portrait photographer and he uses Nikon D300). and i was so impressed by sony lens because the bokeh of the background (exterior lighting of the building) was so good (for me), and the main focus (the lighter fire and the eye with glasses) still sharp. so once more i felt so satisfied and so happy with sony camera and lenses....all perform so well and wonderfully...................................................... I LOVE SONY
and for all of you friends, have a happy shotting time..............................cheer.......;p

Portrait with Direct Droped Sun Light (at the afternoon)

I've also tried taking picture (portrait) at the exterior / outdoor with Direct Droped Sun Light (afternoon time) without using any flashes, any reflector or any special filters. I wonder how good the sony lens would work for this condition, which the light was quite strong / bright / harsh for doing portrait capturing with large opening (F/2.8). the only filter that i used is tokina 77 mm UV, just to protect my lens (the front side glass) from strecthing / dust / water. using manual setting (M), i ajusted the speed to get the exposure that i wanted. when i saw the result, (for my self) i was satisfied with the preformance of the camera and lens, because the picture was still good and the droped sun light became quite interesting (not destroying / making something bad). LOL.....i do love SONY CAMERA & LENS.....so many things can be explored with these friendly gears.....................................
Again & again.....have a nice shooting time to all of you...cheer ;p
