feel like i am going to suddenly see angels coming down from the sky .. very nice picture ? how did achieve such skies?

The sky was cloudy on that day, and yet there are some cloudless parts of the skies, allowing the light to go thru, so actually the rays are obvious to our eyes already. Was a lucky shot. :)

This time i tried to use the Reflected / Mirror Lens Sony 500 mm F8 to capture the moving object without tripod at the late afternoon. i used iso setting at 320 so i could get the speed 1/100 and exposure close to 0. The difficulty was the lens work well at daytime (which have enough light / bright enough), but the time when i shot the marinir boat was at the late of the afternoon and also cloudy. less light.....but i had to tried....no thing to lose....so i shot..and shot. some photos were blur, but i also got the others which were still good enough for me. Just a bit darker, so i used photosop cs 2 to make it brighter (whit other ajusting). Hmmm... i still got the pictures and i was quite satisfied for them......again & again...i have to say that..............i love sony cameras + lenses so much.....;p

Have a nice and happy shooting time for all of you...cheer...... ;p

The power of SAL70400G at 400mm :)

The spider is way above the tree.

This time i just tried and used Flash (attached to camera) and ND Filter 4 Cokins in order to get the object (model) become bright enough and at the same time to get the back ground become more darker (less light) plus to block the execive flash light. (i took these photos at the cloudy late afternoon + using low ISO setting 100). i just wondered how the quality of picture that would be from using combination of the flash + ND Filter. Not so sure how this combination worked, but i liked to try something new, and also to try the camera, the lens and the flash. for me, the results were interesting and i was satisfied with the sony dslr equipments + system...............i do love sony.................................in doing photography with so many things can be explored, tried + learned

Have a happiest shooting time for all of you, cheer ;p

Hi Steve,

Please share how you managed to expose for the sky and the model so well? Is this a HDR shot or what?

Very nicely done...

shot at morning which the sun not so strong, the model are facing to the sun, exposure base on the sky to get the blue sky, flash used to light up the model.

Single shot. not HDR.
