Zeiss....great lens....hope someone willing to let go one but not whole lot....;)

Think you can find on ebay? if you want it desperately. hehehehe

Wow, Ranchy, amazing shots, amazing lens, amazing camera and amazing photographer.;)

Thanks marcus, i'm always learning... especially is landscape.
Nice shots JK, jaiyen and Ranchy.

Thanks Kengoh.. awaiting more shots from your also :) would you use it for birding?

Anyway, those who have the K1.. do continue to share....

Below are shots with the DAL35 F2.4, one more lens confirm it is able to use on the FF. (I call in DAL as it is our cheapo DA35 lol..)
I think Kengoh mentioned about the skin tone setting in the K1. Never try while taking with Raw/DNG.
However, i did a JPEG conversion inside the K1 and there is the setting for me to try.

Original photo converted to JPEG, Portrait , no shadow correction.

1st pic: Portrait, Skin tone 1, shadow correction - low
2nd Pic: Portrait, Skin tone 2, shadow correction - low

I uploaded the full size in flick, think it will be easier to compare seeing there. Think it soften the skin and at type 2, it soften even more.
Maybe abit of slight skin tone adjustment, i felt.

Thanks for testing the skin tone which I'm interested to know. Maybe it might be more obvious if shot indoor (with studio lighting?)?

Thx ken...waiting your birdy shots
Planning to try on birding only if I can wake up early tomorrow..

Thanks Kengoh.. awaiting more shots from your also :) would you use it for birding?
Yes ranchy, sure I will use for birding, especially on less active birds under low lighting. ;p

CHEONG, you will likely get more details, if.. lower iso say 100 to 200, on board flash, using f11 to f16, shutter 1/60 to 1/125 a styrofoam plate to diffuse . More detail and better rendering and lesser noise. just my opinion. The angle you capture is good.

I think is becomes a bit more pinkish.
Might suit paler complexions more, but like all such stuff really need more actual use and depends on own preferences.

 that you shared the info here.

In the 1980s, Pentax introduced the LX as a 35mm film camera system for the professional photographer. With a built-in exposure meter which was able to meter own to -6.5 EV, and an exchangeable viewfinder - a total of 8 viewfinders were available together with 9 focusing screens, it was one of the most advanced 35mm film SLR of its time and made PENTAX famous.

Now in 2016, after years of meticulous planning and receiving user feedback, Pentax has once again come up with an advanced DSLR , which packs a number of innovative features, such as Astrotracer, Pixel Shift, a very well engineered moveable LCD screen. Lets hope it will put the PENTAX brand in the mind of a new generation of photography enthusiast and attract a new following.

Franz start the show liao....buy pop corn and seat back....movies time...:)

Previously with K-5, due to the type focusing screen used, the camera would struggle with the focus issues for lens with very large aperture. None of these issues appeared with the K-1. Focusing is quick even with some of the most challenging situations. Many Pentaxians here has already discussed or commented on the various features of the K-1. Hence I will not make repetitions and instead let some of the pictures do the talking . :D

Due to the slowdown in the Singapore economy, hence no budget for any XMM as models. Not forgetting having paid for the K-1 out of emergency funds. However 2 of my good friends have agreed to help out. That's the spirits of the friends we have here. All very friendly and helpful, despite the short notice period.

Congrats, Franz!

I hope in the next generation they could put all those electronic components into that LX body! That's my dream full frame camera! ;)
