hi guys, i got a noob question. i now store my itunes music and aperture libraries on an external HDD. how do i transfer the files to a new ext HDD and get itunes/aperture to "point/refer" to the new HDD? TIA!

aperture: launch aperture while holding down the option key. it will prompt you for the library.

itunes: a bit more tricky i think. if you launch itunes while holding down option, it will prompt you for library name. but not sure if the path to your music will get updated. usually what i do is leave the itunes library at its default location in my home folder, and store my music folder somewhere else. with itunes shutdown i then transfer my music folder to the new drive, and rename the new drive such that it has the same name as the original, and rename the original drive to something else. then i start itunes.

i've check a few forums online and the mac users have noticed this problem too.

Err ... think u need to sign up with apple for a developing Kit to do apps design. Or simple still, get the apps from itune store..

Thanks. Download the SDK from the link. Manage to develop a few applications for my iphone and it is so simple.

Same with Mercury Messenger but switching to the Microsoft Messenger client ignores the personal message for some reason. The good thing is that Microsoft Messenger doesn't remove it. It's still there when I return to Mercury Messenger.

my msn messenger behaves like jekyll and hyde. shows 1 display name at home, and a different one at work. i gave up on it. i suspect its the msn servers in the background. :bsmilie:

i've came across something similar... and also with my contact's name. it is showing differently on Messenger Mac and Windows Messenger.

gave up on my Magic Mouse. the auto-scroll (vertically) irks me. put it back in its cage and got the Logitech wireless (non-BT version) and it works like a charm.
