Thank you Pentax & Emjay for the prompt K-5 sensor stain resolution

Same for me, realize that my picture will have dust appearing at f8 and above at 3 different spot, need to bring down for a cleaning:confused: Was wonder will there be charges also, but from wad i see kelvin will help get the job done without charges:)

Dust on sensor & focusing screen is not a warrantable issue. It's use related. So if Emjay remove the dust for free, then it is simply out of goodwill :)

sensor cleaning is a basic skill that u should acquire if u intend to stay long in the hobby.

its a very simple process that won't go wrong if u just read up, use the right tools and follow the right procedures.

such a pain to bring the camera all the way down just for cleaning...

Din know it is so easy to clean the sensor! Learn from youtube.
I tried cleaning on my own and all the major dust has disappear! only left 1 little spot barely visible at f8 so i just live with it:) But there is a few dust when i look thru the VF, try blowing at the mirror and VF but the dust can't seems to be blow away:confused: So guess i just live with it too:)

Great to know that you took the initiative to clean it yourself. Dust on sensor, in viewfinder is part and parcel of using a SLR camera. Like detritus said, sensor cleaning is basic skill one needs to have.

I'm not sure if its properly cleaned

Before cleaning, aim at sky, set to f22 using Av mode and shoot

After cleaning, did the same

About the black spot i saw in the VF, other than the mirror and the place we look thru, is there another spot for it? I tried blowing at the mirror and look thru area but the 3 black spot is still there...

it could be on the sensor itself.

:o Then i might have to bring down to emjay for a check

just see how Kelvin does it for u the first time... sometimes, its easier to learn by seeing for yourself.

u probably won't go back the second time... its really so simple :)

Alright, thanks bro!!;)
Anw, the 3 spot did not appear in photo, just the VF alone, its like 3 black thingy stuck on the glass..

Those are spots/dusts in the viewfinder, not on your sensor. You can try to blow the glass on top from the front of your camera w/o a lens mounted, and see if you can blow those dust off. But make sure not to touch the glass. It's easier to clean than you thought. Kevin is already pretty busy, if everyone goes down there and asks him to clean dusts on sensor or in viewfinder, he won't be able to do anything else I guess.

Alright, thx FW! I only blow on the mirror and the viewfinder when we look thru but i did not notice there is still a glass on top in the front w/o lens mounted onto it!
Will try again;) 谢谢你!!
