I got it off ebay for about S$630. I managed to do it myself. I got some waterproof abrasive paper grade 60, 120, 300 and with some water, I slowly ground the focusing ring. I had to remove the focusing ring from the lens body first though. The end result is what you see below.

Now it's working! :)

Guys,

I'm looking for an ND8 filter for my newly acquired Bell & Howell Angenieux 25mm F/0.95. Anybody knows the diameter? I think it's smaller than 40.5mm.

Hi Guys,
need information, where is place in Singapore to modify this XRay lens to M4/3 camera or M-mount?
I bought some exotic f/0.75 but originaly only few mm focus but check on the net some can modifiy to use this lens for portrait like in this link: Rayxar 50mm f/0.75

Testing my recently acquired Kodak Cine Ektar 25mm f1.4 with a 25mm-to-15mm adapter, made for Super 16 film cameras. Very beautiful and well made lens!

Some shots, in the first is the front adapter which transforms the lens into a 15mm f1.4 30mm equivalence in 35mm format. (Not to be confused with the 15mm f2.5 cine ektar lens, this one mounts right on top of the 25mm 1.4!) It is surprisingly sharp at f1.4, and I love the subtle swirl bokeh!

This if from a CCTV lens I ripped apart and stuck it (with some work) onto my GH1, 12.5mm f1.4. Makes it a 25mm (35mm equivalent), one of the widest I know with such a wide image circle.

The lens is too far from the sensor. To focus further, you'll need to bring it closer to the sensor. Play with any other focusing ring on a lens, observe the glass, and you'll understand why..

Yeah, I figured that out a little soon after. Looks like a little dirty shaving is gonna be in progress!

WOW! But no. For that money I would just get the Switar 26mm f1.1, or SOM Berthiot 25mmf 0.95, or both for what this set is worth.

I am a newbie and I have read this thread with great interest. I am thinking of purchasing the following lenses for my Oly Ep-1. Could someone pls advice on which are the best lenses to purchase:

schneider xenoplan 25/1.9
som cinor 25/1.8
tominon 25/1.8

Thanks a lot.

How many versions of the Pentax 25mm f/1.4 are there? The one on Chiif Cameras has a thread size of 27mm while the one on BHPhoto is 40.5mm and the weight and dimensions are different too....

Hi

Just to check, when mounting a lens adapter on the E-PL1, besides setting to MF, what other settings need to be done on the body?

Thanks!

Think that's only for the G series, they need to be told to shoot without a lens on (or not detected rather)
