Are there any issues with using a wider angle lens on the m4/3s platform? I used the 25mm one indoors and was dearly wishing for a wider angle and found out that Pentax does have a 12.5mm version.

CCTV lenses with lesser mms will become fish eye lenses, not exactly wide? :think::think:

nope it wont... unless the lens is fisheye even with wider angle of view unless the lens is not design to have fisheye effect it wont show that fisheye effect

the construction of fisheye lens is different from Ultra wide lenses you'll have a very bad distortion or barrelling but I think thats all you be getting

Alberti is right, 7-14 is wider than 8mm,but 8mm is fisheye,so why is 7mm the angle lesser than the 8mm fisheye? its the glass construction

Taken with my 12.5mm 1.4 CCTV lens some time back, on a GH-1 at 16:9. With GH-1's multi-aspect sensor the crop factor is actually about 1.8. I guesstimate that on non-multi-aspect sensor body like GF-1 or E-P2 the vignette will be almost unnoticeable, making it a very usable and wide 25mm equivalent.

The color, sharpness and detail on the finger captured is surprisingly good though.

High definition 25mm f0.95 C mount lens for micro 4/3, by Goyo Optical Japan. Very sharp lens with nice bokeh. I modified it so that it can fit into the RJ adapter. One of a kind.

I got it off ebay for about S$630. I managed to do it myself. I got some waterproof abrasive paper grade 60, 120, 300 and with some water, I slowly ground the focusing ring. I had to remove the focusing ring from the lens body first though. The end result is what you see below.

Now it's working!

Does it infinity focus?

Also probably not a great deal at $630 as it retails brand new at $460, as these are not legacy lenses but are still being produced by the manufacturer. Can be bought straight from the manufacturers website. Was going to buy one, but did not want to do all the machining to fit the M43 adapter.

Did you cropped these 2 pics? no vignetting at all, love the 2nd pic

No vignetting at all, ISO 100 wide open on a GH-1 (1.8 crop factor). Shot not cropped or pp-ed. Typical 16mm cinema lenses won't vignette 35mm and above. My time spent with it was very reminiscent of the Minolta Rokkor 58mm f/1.2. Except this piece resolves an amazing amount of detail and sharpness, with a swirly creme de la creme bokeh.

It has since been sold to a nice guy who just started his c mount adventure on a NEX-5.
