but but but I learned something.... MASTER Billy share experience with me... he said, suut with flash, set it to manual mode, power 1/64, 1/128.... this is just to "pop out" the model, got flash light in model eye
i feel very happy to pay $20, not because of the event, it is because of the MASTER Billy technique I learned

I been to Istana open house once last yr with one buttie (I cant remember who riaos, tink ish either RS or Naka). SG citizens go in free. I tink foreigners need to pay a token sum. Its quite a long walk in from the main gate to the main building with a slight uphill gradient. There are some things to shoot along the way. Swan in the pond. People. Usually there will be some band performance. There are some vintage artillery guns on a small knoll. Fountains outside the main building. Can shoot the exterior of the main building also.
To go into the main Istan building itself, need to pay entrance fees. Inside main building, no photography allowed. On the way down from the main building, there is another side garden, "victorian" style (not sure if thats the way to describe it). quite nice too.
In summary, IMHO, there are things to shoot if you havent been there before. But be prepared to put on sunblock as one might get sunburn. also bring a small umbrella in case it rains. there is not much shelter.

guess lotsa colonial looking features in the istana since we are under commonwealth ruling.
