Hi all,

I was wondering if I should get the lens in Hong Kong or should I ask a friend of mine to get it from US. Does anyone know of the price difference?

Any advice? :)

Thanks in advance!

This lens is on my wish list. :) Thanks for sharing!!

hi everyone,

just wondering if this lens are good for low light situations?

Took this shot of a Blue Tit using the Tamron 70-300mm @ 300mm f5.6 shutter:1/125sec handheld.

Without the VC on, I would not have make it at such low shutter speed. The VC may have a weird sound, and not as smooth as canon IS, but imo, it sticks to the subject better than the canon IS. At 300mm and fully open, it is slightly soft but decent, with 2 stops down, it can be really sharp. My only issue with this lens is that there is no tripod collar. The lens is not light and do not balance well fully extended when fixed on tripod. Cannot complain really, @ 700+, Tamron even throw in a lens hood :D

Give them a call tmr would be faster..

Just wondering to get this lens tomorrow. Would it be worth the money ? i plan on getting this lens is because i'll be travelling around the world this year . Just wanna get a travel lens.

Tammy 18-270 both version would serve a better all-in-1 travel lense better than 70-300 which would be too tight.

i dont think i need the 18 as i have a 17-40mm L lens. intend to change lens when it's comes to landscape shots.

Ah then this would be a very good for value lense at this focal length and it is quite fast even thou only F4 at max

Wow ! you're early ! it 6am in the morning .

Yup working overnight haha thats why forum is my "keep awake" medicine and see any photography night owl is up

Got that lense just now at cathay photo :) it's a great lens ! Can't believe it's sharpness was that good.
