Tamron 150-600mm F5-6.3 ultra-telephoto zoom

Great shot of the Bulbul J-Chan!

Some smaller birds

Yellow-vented Bulbul by J-Chan, on Flickr

Pacific Swallow by J-Chan, on Flickr

Crimson Sunbird by J-Chan, on Flickr

YVBB looks good.
Pacific Swallow seems to be shot too far to retain better details?
Crimson sunbird looks pretty near but seems to be shot under poor lighting(shade) so can't see much details?
Care to share on your shooting environment? :)
Anyway,Crimson Sunbird is a very tricky bird to shoot.

Thanks. Didn't want to crop in the Pacific Swallow shot since I thought it showed quite nice 'bokeh'. The Crimson Sunbird was under quite heavy shade in the late evening, think it was shot at ISO10000, max aperture of f/6.3 can be limiting.

Good one with the bulbul shot, J-Chan =)

Anyone can advise on the lens Minimum Focus Distant(MFD)?

I can feel that the poison and virus is going very deep into my body.

When is the Nikon version coming out???? when???

Trying to get you to switch over to Canon.

Some comments after using this lens for Chingay, Airshow and some birding...
These are some added remarks and those common Pros/Cons like low light etc I suppose you can figure it out by the specs and those professional reviews available on the website

Pros
- versatility of the zoom makes this really a GREAT USABLE lens! ...
- Good built quality, though its plastic. There is a latch to lock the zoom in eventuality of wear and tear though at new condition the zoom is pretty stiff
- IQ for this price range is good ... see photos sent by various people as good comparison
- AF at 600mm is slightly better only than using 2x tele converter at maximum range example 70-200 with 2x at 400mm

Cons
- There is some lack of contrast at 500-600mm zoom range but I normally shoot RAW and touch up with software
- No bag that should comes with this item??
