Very good contributions from everybody. I especially like Yuhsin (knoxknocks)'s #1 and 2, and Otega's #2. Despite being in the same place, everyone had different perspectives, compositions and subject interests, though there were some conventional recurring themes of sunsets. Thanks for sharing.

Here are some of my personal contributions...

Couple

all shots were taken by Nikon D70 + Nikkor 70-300 f4.5/5.6 ED on 13 Feb 2005

Regards, Eric

I like this one :). Just have to crop off the little distracting bit at bottom left

somemore ...

7.
water play (PS: cropped from a full-frame landscape)

8.
romance (PS: cropped from previous picture, some bg blurring, not very refine job lah)

9.
boardwalk (PS: cropped from 3:4 portrait to 2:3 portrait)

10.
dusk (PS: cropped from 4:3 landscape to 3:2 landscape)

11.
above water (PS: cropped from 3:4 portrait to 2:3 portrait. not from previous image)

#7 - the boy's right eye a bit weird leh
#9 -
#10 - The right side with the silouhetted anglers is nice. But the kelong and fence that on the left doesn't seem to lead my eye anywhere IMHO. So it ends up cluttering the picture. Maybe it'll work better if shot a bit more from the left - just a personal thing.
#11 - I still like the previous one :)

thanks!

#7, yah lor, should have made the image under some more to just get the light off his right side ... somehow it's getting noisy in the shadow area also :(

#10 ... hmmm ... reasonable analysis, i was experimenting to get a frame to bring out the structures, didn't get anything better, will have to redo this shot the next round

#11 yes, i totally agree, that's why i didn't post this the first time, offering the portrait version to see how everyone respond to this framing

So strange...just checked all my other photos taken after that shot...all no dust spots leh?? :dunno: In fact, that's the only pic with the dust spots.

Didn't change/clean/blow the body/lens etc...

I told you that there is something wrong with your camera :bsmilie:

 Nice catch, abit dark but nothing that a recrop to change the focus to the sun and some minor PS work should do the trick

on second thought ... those dots seem like birds flying past (very far away)

Ortega = Thanks for the comments, me too keep thinking what to tell on the three sticking stick but that's the stick that make the whole pictre looks nice.

knoxknock = Well, at first thought, I also thought of exposing the dog and the owner's faces, but on second thought this also give the owner a sence of secrective. As the onwer said he is using a cam to make a living.

Thank you all for all constructive comments, looking forward to the next interesting outing.

Nice cath you have there awongkk.
