Haha i was considering that as well. But just when i was gonna decided on it a AF-S version popped up at 890 bucks. I went ahead to get that and sold my AI-S at no loss. Pretty worth it IMO

890??? damn good price! How was the condition of it? I couldn't take a closer look that day, as it was getting pretty dark...

Yeah thats y i instantly decided to buy it. No more warranty, but condition was superb. No visible dents/scratches or whatsoever. Looked it through a light and no visible dust/moss/fungi of any sorts.

Older versions of nikkor micro lens reach a max of 1:2 ratio. You will require the PN-11 ext tube with the 105mm f2/f4 micro to reach 1:1. At 400+ bucks you can get a 2nd hand tammy 90mm which can already give 1:1 ratio

u might wan to read up abt reproduction ratio :)

thank you all for the info, this will give me some useful keywords to look for.

Oh, sorry if I misled you into thinking about me going into macro, I am interested but not now... Just absorbing all the knowledge for the moment... Yes, I'll concentrate on the 70-200 instead. 10-24 plus 70-200 will give me plenty of landscaping moments as well, apart from the other genres. :)

hur?? no lens to cover 24-70mm focal length?? or you don't need to?

No need to... 60mm can do for the moment... I got the 28-80 if really desperate. :bsmilie: Btw, I no longer care for the so-called "trinity" line up... ;) Besides the 70-200 that is...

Bring up this dusty thread ..

Have a question about the ND110 and LEE BIG stopper .

I do not really like the magenta coming from the ND110 .. .., how does LEE big stopper performs ?

I think it's cooler. Saw it in a thread here somewhere. :)

I exchange my Hoya NDx400 (cooler tones) with your ND110 :D

Confirm plus chop, it's cooler... being reviewed in the latest Digital SLR magazine and every where else... :)

Bro... after using the big stopper, I did not want to use the ND110 anymore... I like the cooler big stopper as it is easier to handle in PP. The yellowish tone from ND110 is hard to bring back. That is why I sold my ND110.

Haaa.. On the contrary I prefer the warmer tones of ND110... Bt big stopper is gd in it's own way... Got to use it more often nw:sweat:

Haaaa... Glad u do la.. Faster SSS cosco n BBB FX leh
so notti...

they just got awarded contract for $110m for a number of projects... see their price will go up or not...

FX??? :o
D7000 cannot meh? I lurrrve hot pixels! :bsmilie:
btw, I saw DXO mark's test of the sensors... D7k dynamic range is >13EV, whereas D700 is about 12.5EV. D90 is on the low 12s.
Wonder if that difference is noticeable or not.
Bro, since you have both, what is your gut feeling?
