Not to everyone's knowledge of course... suddenly got this idea in my head so I decided to test it... comments?

I think can be applied to t-shirt, etc, etc, etc...

Bro, logo looks ok if the color is different. The orange is too orangy, looks a bit like red. Like Japanese war flag. I dun like.

Yah.. prototype oni.. gosh, looks like world war 3 coming.. "frm the land of the rising sun"

Bro, that one if stick on tripod, and go to china set up tripod, old people will throw longkang water at you one.... :nono:

anyone has comment on the 85mm f/2 AiS?

got one selling HERE
Tempted to buy and give it a try. Don't like, can sell off for marginal loss...

Dude, it is the same guy who sold me my 85/2. He sold me 270 I think... His name is tom. And he always has a lot of old lenses to sell. He sources them from Vietnam.

me too! :) but kena jialat jialat already... better buy to follow the crowd :)

When I first used the spirit level (all the way back in mid last year), got a lot of people say I gu-niang. Now see who is the gu-niang..

Everyone Gu NIang! YESSH!

Gonna go to Bras basah now... maybe drop by TK to get poisoned - need to check on Hoya CPL HD filter... Hey ZCA, come I jio you! :bsmilie:

CPL no need HD one la. You going to leave the CPL on all the time meh?? :bsmilie:

Get a Pro1D enough already. I using the Kenko Pro1D wide band slim rim CPL.

Still in office. I better start packing up soon.

Good point, I'll drop the design entirely... I'll leave the Vinyl on mine until it falls off...

True hor... But anyway, luckily I didn't get it - just got the B + W clear for my 62mm... I was at TK, were you there too? Also, just discovered something called a step-up adaptor ring... so now I'll just get all my round filters at 77mm and get the cheapo adapter for all the stupid lens ring sizes... Now I only need ONE good CPL and ONE good ND110 at 77mm... The rest will be Hitech 100mms...

No PM reply from him... i guess I gotta SMS him.

I was at TK, were you there too?

i was there form 3:45pm to 4:30pm...

OK, here is my confession:

I got

Sirui T-1004x
Manfrotto 494rc2
Hitech ND0.9

Funny thing is I tested both the CF T-1204X and the Aluminium T-1004X. The 1204x is hella light. So light it is scary but it is very stiff. One thing though, when I test the tripod with the 2-finger tap test, it seems the 1004x is better at dampling the taps better than the CF one. I am very perplexed. But at less than half the price, I went ahead and got the T-1004x.

And for the Manfrotto, ya kind of stuck with that one. it is the only one small enough. But tested my heaviest setup and it seems to hold without problems. The only gripe is that the friction knob and main lever are 180 deg from each other. Making it impossible to fold the tripod legs 100%. So I have one leg not completely closed... Still works though.

Overall very happy with my purchases.

Now I have a light cheap setup for travel. And when I use the tripod as a weapon, it will hurt the target. If I use the CF version, it will not even hurt a fly...

wah... good purchases...!
But for your regular shoots (in Singapore), I guess the Sirui will stay at home?
How much was the 494rc2 anyway?

T1004X looks nice and compact for travel...
hmmm... better not buy another tripod.. hahaha Will stick to my trusty (and big) CF one for my training trip.

Cheap. $90 only. But 4kg max.

Thing is about manfrotto, it seems they are very conservative with their max weight listing. Unlike some other brands...

Mr Wong at Fotografix told me for manfrotto when they say 4kg, you can really put 4kg on it without fear. Well my heaviest set up is less than 2kg.

no space in cupboard! :)
I should be able to handle my current tripod still. It's bulky but light.

* my tripod has also not failed me.... :D

$60. Uncles at TK assure me that there is no color cast whatsoever.

what ballhead do you have on your present manfrotto tripod?

My current one is the 488rc2. It comes with pan lock. But it is a monster, very heavy at 700 grams.

 Gd deal for the manfrotto bro??

Not bad. His pricing is the same if you get e-quote from Cathay. So Fotografix quote is one quote one kill. No games. Ya, you are right about Mr Wong opening at 3pm. I went there at 2:30pm and I had to wait around for 30mins.
