I just bought the manfrotto RC2 compatible L-plate.... aiyoh.. now like kenna poison for the arca-style L plate. die la.
 

Just to clarify, whether my ballhead (Benro KB-1A) compatible for the arca-style L plate?

looks like a arca-style clamp to me.

edit: just checked, yes it is.

I think I can get the L bracket fabricated locally. My company has a regular precision engineering workshop that can pretty much fabricate anything out of a CAD/CAM drawing.

It's basically an angled alumninium bracket with the appropriate "rails" and slots. After that it's just hard anodizing.
If many people order, I think the price can be brought down significantly, since programming the CNC machine is the costly part. The material cost is probably negligible (a few bucks).

Bloody tempting! Make sure you have enough space for opening side access panel to get to ports on the camera.

Can one lar.. so long u hav the necessary equipment, dun mnd the hassle and the looks of ur end product, anything also possible..

My macro flash bracket my friend did for me one..also DIY but who cares but workable.. pay him only for the materials and some kopi money... save me 60% of cost sia... :lovegrin:

by the time they get the dimensional drawing done, it'll probably cost more than what you can get it for...! :)

collecting my QR plates tomorrow evening... got new plates, but no new ballhead for sunrise outing :cry:

By right the material (Alu 1100/5000 series) & finishing (anordize or blackenize) are not cost so much, the highside is on designing and processing (CAD/CAM)..:)
