Yes... L plate is very very useful... mount very fast, compose very fast also... Extremely useful if you doing panning panaroma. Set up portrait mode and pannnnn.....

That's why I cannot tahan, went ahead and ordered the Camdapter manfrotto L-plate from USA. Ended up cost me around SGD$140. Lucky his postage very cheap, $6 only for international. Got my L plate in 6 days.

well if you want to use only the L plate I guess you don't need anything else. But for me, when I travel I don't think I wanna carry the L plate.
