[SunChasersSG] - sunrise outing, Lwr Seletar, 10Jul

Kamsia 3 wise men .... DD, ZCA n NNB :)

Sir, next time you downsize your image for web, choose a slightly larger size hor...
If not I'll need reading glasses soon :D
Recommended size is at least 640 x 480 pixels.
Because I like to show off my lousy photos, I normally choose about 900 x 600

were all three shots taken by you, or at least one from the Mrs? She looked very determined to get some good shots yesterday morning.

Yes, some are too soft. Using a Kit lens, so I'm practicing what I preach. Especially to newbies, that Kit lenses are still just as good. Just need to know how to work it.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Great photos guys! Hope to join you guys for some sun chasing action!

Hey bro DD, i think i saw a spot of white thing on the top left section of your re-processed pic.

If you mean the white spot among the clouds. I believe that is the moon.

Chilicrab1 reporting late, enclose my humble shot
As usual C&C are welcome ;)

wow... the page grow very fast... 24hr 7pags....:bsmilie:

Remember Ding, previously you had told me following valuable statement:

"Great picture was taken by photographer who had good enough skill to handle the camera, not because of using what kind lens for shooting the image."

By the way, I like your #05 - Golden Light as well..

Hahaha, I did? Now I got people quoting me ... hahahaa.

But nonetheless Jacob, your pics show that you have attained photography's nirvana!

Cheers!

#1 - First Ray of Sun

#2 - Past Twilight

You had make the kit lens stand proud and I like this 2!

I wish that for #1 to be cropped into 2:1 pano leaving out 1/3 of the bottom part; jetty and person in the frame. And a little touch up by cloning off the crops at left would be nice.

As #2, lowering down your camera by a little to include a little more information on the jetty edge at bottom right.

One does not need a premium lens to get wonderful image, the person behind the viewfinder matter most and knowledge of composition and camera setting are the vital point. Premium lens is only a tool.

Nice composition with thoughtful mind in getting an angle to isolate subject to evenly balance the elements in the frame with a great light display.

Yes, less is more and I have to agree with that and do take note of holaing for #1 is seen at the tree.

This is nice!

Yep, its wide and nice! Well done Bryan and maybe you could tone down the Cyan wee bit? ;)
.

Hay Thomas, thanks for dropping by~! Noted on that part.. :)

I like this one too but with few steps to the left would be great so that the front tip of the boat is not overlap the newly build structure.

Nice vertical format on #1 highlighting the beauty of the sunrise and reflection but do take note on the abrupt crop on the jetty on the right

Here's another taken at the start of the shoot (love the colors but less than pleased with the excessive lights on the extreme left (forgot to take out my black card to tone down or took multiple exposures for blending), nonetheless, posted to share with y'all.. CnC welcome

NNB - 4. Blueishly good~

Thanks for your valued comments! :)
Yes I have been highlighted my mistake in #1... no excuses :embrass: brain not there totally...

Didn't notice about the boat and the far jetty intersecting. Thanks for pointing that out! Must go back for a re, now that I'm armed with some pointers.

Bro, you have to understand the location. There wasn't much room to move around. ;)

Yes, I do understand the limitation of this place as I have to admit that myself had visited this place on few occasion but yet to find a good composition. :bsmilie:

Just a note to ponder on the composition though.
