Haven't really been following your pics, and hope I am not being presumptous when I say you are improving. I like these pics 1+2+3 for using large aperture to isolate the subject, and 4 for the colours and lighting but I'm not sure about the composition :)

Nice meeting all of u and talking to some of u.

So many nice pix and since 'big boss' say newbies must post, here 1 pix from me.

Bro, it is not advisable to tilt the horizon in landscape photos unless you have a really go reason to do so. Will throw the viewers off. It seems your lens might not be wide enough to capture 2 jetty properly. Maybe should just concentrate on one the next time. I encourage you to go down again and try in the future.

nice try with playing of thin depth of field. keep it up.
But even in such shots, composition is important.
Should try to use the wooden railing as a 'lead-in' line from bottom left towards the focal point in the right-upper third. That would be more balanced...

I only have 1 pic to share also... But my single pic got screwed up... When I went for lens adjustment at sigma, they switched my quality mode to JPEG Fine... Making it almost impossible for me to get a good WB adjustment... and also making it very hard for me to process it to a low noise pic... Anyway, converted to B&W...

Love these 2 shots. Different mood and feel despite being taken on the same day. A good example of how post-processing is also an important part of digital photography to convey your intention.

I miss the old wooden platforms...

thanks wildcat, the composition for 4 was bad. actually. i posted only for the colour... what dd123 said is true, it is so cramp there and i "followed" the wrong grp thus these is like a "snap" shot. no much chance to take better.

may go back and try again. thks for the comments :D

Compare it to the old jetty... this pic taken last year... If you ask me, I still prefer the wooden ones... looks so much classier.
