This is amazing Stuck! I like the mood of this photo. What ND filter did u get eventually? I still yet to buy myself a ND, cost too much for a 84mm. =P Guess i am too stingy. But after seeing your photos, I guess is worth it, got to get one this weekend.

Thanks! the photo you talked abt was taken using a 3-stop GND i think...

the cheapest way to get some ND filters would be to use square filters (+filter holder of course) from Tianya. I got a ND8 (3-stops), a GND, the filter holder & 77mm ring adaptor (to attach the holder to my Sigma 10-20) for ~$50 i think. But be warned that tianya filters are far from neutral (very strong magenta cast sometimes)... the price is much more palatable though! In comparison, a single GND from Hitech (which are of better quality) can cost twice that already. Do some research on ND filters on the forum first before buying so you get the stuff u need! good luck! :)

Some more from this morning :) as usual any C&C would be greatly appreciated!

Bro , u really hardworking . I always want to do barrage in the morn but considering the location I always give up.

I like the title for #33 . Got to admit the sky is pretty flat for the photo but with the title given , it just become a interesting photo with the strong Monday blues mood .

For #34

Care to share the colour version . A bit wasted for the sunrise shot without seeing the colour/light . Can post ?

Thanks for the comments Simon! On leave today so decided to give it a shot... inspired by photos by you & other in the forum! I can't say it was worth the effort though... i was disappointed that the fountain was not lit in the morning (in fact they only turned it on ~640am). To make things worse the sky as you duly noted was boring (very cloudy) - hence the narrow crop to keep the focus on the foreground elements.

As for #34, I didn't share the colour version for several reasons. The first being that the colours weren't great - most the glory of the sunrise was blocked by the clouds. Even worse, there's a large blotch right in the middle of the photo from a pesky dust spot in my lens that shows up at small apertures & long exposures. Due to my poor PP skills it was only poorly cloned 'away' & hence the B&W conversion so its not so obvious. I thought the gloomy feel sort of fits in nicely with the Monday blues theme!

Trust me the colour version is not worth showing! ;p

glad you like it. any comments to help me improve will be greatly appreciated... thanks for dropping by!

u are very good already, better then me, so dun need my tips :p
