i like this pic too, looks like the shadowy figure of a menacing hooded assassin.... very well done how you turned a flat medium into a 3 dimensional subject.

i also like the muted colours of day 4 and day 6.

i thought the left side of ur SP was great, IMHO i think you can omit the square tiles on the right for much greater impact. super b&w tones and contrast.

thx zaren! have always admire and appreciate the way you 'see' our pictures.

*disclaimer: long-winded unnecessary junktalk ahead....

the shots were all made within the confines of the toilet, and i played around with the images until i 'see' the 'secondary image' beneath (basically abstracting the redundant). portrait of a piece of toilet paper was made by tossing it into the toilet bowl (always wanted to do that!)

day 3 & 4 were inspired by water splash marks. pardon me for being melodramatic, but i find poetic beauty in its "violent creation but transient existence" (seriously, you may now puke!)

the s.p one ... there's this illusion of seeing grey spots in between the grid lines. i tried hard to connect that between "to see" and "self reflection", but in the end i decided it was an exercise in pointlessness.

so much ado about nothing ...

dug up some old scans! these are some of the very first toy/still-life pictures i've ever made (circa 2000).

looking at these pictures, i still feel 'connected' to them somehow. perhaps i still am very much the child inside hehehe :bsmilie:
