One from Changi Broadwalk Beach yesterday morning and Sembawang Park this morning:

Changi Pathlight

11 Image HDR/DRI using ND 8 hard graduated + Tiffen ND 1.2 filter manually blended, multi-exposure post-processing using Nik Software for Tone mapping. Changi Beach Broadwalk, Singapore.

The tide was eerily rising fast and the sunrise was eerily hiding behind those eerie clouds.

This Place, This Time

3 Image HDR/DRI using ND 8 soft graduated + Tiffen ND 1.2 filter manually blended and Tone mapped using Nik Software. Sembawang Beach, Singapore.

Nasty, I was standing on knee-height water, away from land! Good thing the tide was low.

There!

Some other photographers were there as well. What an amazing place for Sembawang Beach!

Hi, just want to say..thanks for sharing and I have a lot to learn from your shots and i especially like all the rocks you took. I think your process have given me a lot of ideas but I have one question. Some of your shots total 5 images and some at 11 images and so on. How do you tell yourself or say this shot should be 10 images or 3 images and so on. Sorry to ask so much.
Thanks.:)

Thank you! I am glad you asked! It depends on the scene really, and what type of mood and atmosphere you plan to bring out in your photos. I shoot some images from -5 to +5 (11 stops in this case) so that I can achieve maximum dynamic contrast for my final HDRed image manually blended. ;) Some are 3 or just 7 because I do not really need the full dynamic contrast (really depends on the scene and what you have planned in mind) and also because to capture/freeze some detected movement otherwise ghosting will occur while blending them. The previous shot at Sembawang consist of 2 photographers moving about, and didn't want any ghosting as my shutters are all well over 30 secs from +1 EV onwards, bulb mode.

Hope this helps!!! :D

One more from Upper Seletar Reservoir!!

Seletar Reprise: The Jetty [Vertorama]

3 Image Vertorama using ND 8 graduated filter + Hoya NDX400 9 stop filter. Upper Seletar Reservoir, Singapore.

I've been there almost every time and I never took notice of this jetty that was located further end. Unfortunately it was barricaded and for authorised personnel only. Probably for the people working at the reservoir. Look very closely at the left and you can see the really tiny sunset!

Not shooting any beach and seascape shots for the time being due to flu and a bruised leg with an exposed wound.

awesome photos! must have took u quite some time to blend it up :D
thanks for sharing

Thank you!! Yeah it took me a while to shoot AND post process it. It was well worth the enjoyment. :) Thanks again!!

Bonus behind the scenes!

Punggol Beach: I was standing pretty much away from shore for a different angle. Nearly half of my tripod was submerged underwater! I had my cleaning cloth and blower in my hand to clean the filter as from time to time, the strong waves splashed onto my camera and filter... :) Despite all the waves hitting on it, the 7D's weather sealing and robustness didn't fail and Manfrotto didn't even move an inch.

Haha, no worries Stuck, thanks!! The Optech strap? Yes, sharp eyes BTW! I bought it from Cathy Photo Peninsula. :) It retails around $45 I think. I bought it a year ago. :D

must becareful ah! Other countries currents are much stronger.. last time I also go in deep but when I went bali ho ho ho.. almost got swept away. =)

nice one bro! love the bonus behind-the-scenes. hehe.

Haha!! Thank you all soo much!! I will definately show more in future...

Anyway, I didn't shoot much lately, due to my injured leg. And God knows I have some problems with my tripod, I think I may have abused it too much till it's a little bit hard to pull out its legs. :( I'm cleaning it now. It still does work, stable and everything else, but I suspect salt from the seas exposed numerous times despite thorough cleaning may have "disrupted" its movable connections.... Sob.

So here's something that I took a looong time ago for Wikipedia... Sorry if the quality is a little patchy, with all that JPG artifects at the sky. Because an image at this size and calibre would take ages to load for slow connections for viewing, so I had to reduce some quality on it as required for Wikipedia. The goal here is to include every single building I see from this view. (And I think everybody should know already where I stood :))

As appeared on this page in Wikipedia, here it is!!

Enjoy!! :D

Very hardcore!................... but I like!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Great images requires great sacrifices.

Thanks alot for your comment Brownboots!!! :) I agree as well, but provided it does give good results! Or else its pointless sacrificing something that doesn't turn out too well.... :D Happens all the time to me though, haha.

Well guys, the Sky Gods might have been angry for the past few days, and there has been no sun since, I'e decided to share stuff that I have taken over the months in Singapore.

Something from MacRitichie Reservoir. Not much though, pretty simple. :)

MacRitchie's Tranquillity

60, 120, 240 & 320 Sec Bulb mode HDR/DRI of MacRitchie Reservoir, Singapore.

Marina Bay Sands. Don't expect those fanciful compositions like the helix bridge beside it, or the Singapore skyline and mirror-like early morning reflections on the water. Just, simple good ol' Marina Bay Sands at dusk. :)

Misty Punggol II

7 Image HDR/DRI using ND 8 hard graduated filter + Tiffen ND 1.2 filter. Punggol Beach, Singapore.

Forgot to upload this. Essentially a faster shutter speed of this shot:

www.flickr.com/photos/_stefano_/6035240459/in/photostream

Was taken much later and skies rapidly changing light changed the mood of the scene's atmosphere as well.
