@HighTone: Thanks!!!

@Simon: Hey Simon!! Thanks for dropping by! Yep, it sure doesn't say it's from Singapore. :) hahaha. I guess its a unique side because not many people can walk there unless the tide is really low. Thanks for your like!!

Two from Changi Beach and Sembawang from this weekend shoot:

Tree of the Sunset

7 image HDR/DRI using ND 8 soft graduated filter. Changi Beach, Singapore.

If it weren't for that growing $%#^ branch from another tree, above THAT tree in picture, it would've been better. Tried all angles the branch is still there!! =(

Note to self: construct a long pole with with a blade at the end, slice off that branch before a shoot.

Colour My World

Very simple shot from my nightsout in National Service, many thanks to my dad holding on to my camera.

Sorry I was late for the updates man... Apparently the skies were horrible and I had guard duty on Saturday in camp. So yeah. :(

Anyway, here's another shot from Sembawang that I've decided to upload.

Sembawang Rock Play III

7 Image HDR/DRI using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + Hoya NDX 400 9 stop filter. Sembawang Beach, Singapore.

Alternate view of those rocks. Unfortunately the tide was high. So I experimented all sorts of angles that relate to what I have planned in mind.

Dawn of the Canoe [Vertorama]

2 Image DRI Vertorama ranged from -2 to +2 using ND 0.9 soft graduated filter + CPL filter. Lower Seletar Reservoir, Singapore.

First time seeing parked canoes by the jetty. Rarely this happens! Was also blessed with a 5 minute sunrise where a cloud had a small opening. Rainy cloudy these days in Singapore. A rare sight on such conditions too!

Starting to loose faith in sharing in CS as nobody seems to care to comment or give any C&C about my work.

Keep the faith Stefan & keep posting! Your shots always inspire me to rethink how I shoot & go out to shoot more. Nice shot as always from Sembawang. The rocks remind me so much of Changi & the smoke stacks totally rock! Thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks Stuck, I appreciate your kind words. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Stefan! I like #1 more somehow as the way the "jetty" cuts across the frame in #2 takes a lot of attention away from the rising sun on the left. One of the reasons this location is not one of my favourites for sunrise shots despite the many options for foreground interest. Just too many elements cutting towards the right & competing for attention with the sun on the left. Something I'm still not quite sure how to resolve & hence I haven't revisted.

Maybe if there's another vantage point further down from this jetty more towards the right side of the reservoir would help? cheers!

Stuck, my sentiments exactly! :D I realised those jetties are actually facing South, thus is a little difficult to compose neatly without any form of opposition ie. lines, convergence, etc. I too shall stick to the first shot as well.

If I recall, it was wooden back then.

the way I see it, I guess most folks enjoy the images here but don't really have anything substantive to say. Don't give up, I do enjoy your art and effort and always look out for your thread amongst others if it's updated. keep the faith and definitely look forward to more works from you bro! cheers

Hey thanks fibredrive! I really appreciate your effort to continue posting your photos too! You are right man... I should'nt just stop here. Thanks for the encouragement bro!

Nice! With shots like this, you certainly shouldn't be disheartened;)

Thanks guys, I guess that shot was my major. :) When I was there, I noticed the tiles, and I know I do not own a T&S lens, so to straighten without any photoshopping, I included the tiles. I didn't realize it did led the viewers' eyes to the buildings. haha

Well anyway, I may slowly make a move towards shooting architecture again. Recently my legs had gone bad... Not too sure but I had alot of sores on my legs after visiting so many beaches, ie. Changi, Punggol, Sembawang, etc. I guess I discovered an allergy; so damn itchy!! I probably have to buy myself a pair of high boots to protect my skin of my legs whenever I enter the water instead of sandals.
