Wish HDR/DRI processing would result in additional information details or texture of the wall facade serving as the leading lines and the foreground structures. :)

Haha I can, but that will result distracting, and does not lead the photograhic intention I set out to shoot. ;) ( I just want the lights to do that in this case) The use of HDR doesn't necessarily have to reveal detail, in fact you can use it to *hide* (darken, actually) certain details that you don't want the audience to look at to further direct attention to the subject in particular. :)

Thanks for drpping by mate!! :D

so the lights by the side act like some sort of leading lines? interesting~

Thanks, but frankly I think it was just pretty average in my opinion, could've been done much better...

So like always, time for a monthly Seasonal round up of pictures around Singapore. Enjoy!! =)

Lovely images as usual. See you've challenged yourself with a little more of the concrete jungle this time.

Thanks Fibredrive!

Hole in the City

3 Image DRI using GND 0.9 Soft. Shaw Tower, Singapore.

The last final moments of the twilight hour before the sky turns dark. Honestly, this isn't my style of photography as this seems kinda stale and snapshot-like to me. I guess I shot this because of a pretty nice view here.

Sorry for the lateness of my reply. Been busy lately, and thus have not much time to post-process my photos which I took over the weekend.

PS, if you have sent PMs to me and have not received my reply, don't panic. I've read them, and I will reply to you. I am in camp and waiting to book out ASAP this coming Thursday. :) Please stay tuned.

In the meanwhile, here's something simple from Clementi.

Thanks for your support. As usual, many stuff to handle lately... Here's something relatively simple from Punggol Beach again.

The Day's End

2 Image HDR/DRI 3 frame panorama using GND 0.9 and ND 0.9 for smoothed water effects, Punggol Beach, Singapore. These days I'm aiming for simplified "everyday" common compositions... Taking a break away from the dramatic and melancholic shots for a while.

#21 The Day's End, is lovely and the title fits the frame perfectly. I spent quite awhile to really look at the composition and the exposure details are great. I even look at how the water flows away to the left and right of the frame. The few rocks at the left could have not been in the frame - Thats just me....
You have a great shot but what do you mean by every day common composition? I am learning to improve especially on composition and when the next time I'm there, I would like to try something different from the every day composition.
Thanks Stefan..:)

Thanks Manita, this isn't my kind of photography. I generally don't position myself and just simply snap away - it has to have an emotional context to how I am feeling and how it can be expressed within, these few days, it just doesn't seem to. Whatever it is, I enjoy my moments, that's something that I can divulge in that. Anyway I too agree with the rocks at the left, should've positioned the tripod facing more towards the right, but I disliked the industrial estates ashore and the lights were blaring brightly. And if I could recall, one of the chimneys were burning hot coal, spewing fire all over the air. :(

lovely colours and composition as always ^_^

very inspiring, makes me wanna do landscape too..

Thanks Kiwira, I saw your work on deviant - mesmerizing! :)

Conflicted

5 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft + ND 0.9 for smoothed water effects. Sembawang Beach, Singapore.

Everything just don't seem to point where I should go. I see a pot of gold at the end but can't get to it. So many conflicted emotions in my life lately. How do I express them? Here.

It's been quite a long while since I last been to Sembawang Beach for a shoot. The tides were low, so I thought it would be nice to explore the area once again.
