The Return to Labrador

5 Image HDR/DRI 2 shot stitched panorama using GND 0.6 hard + ND 0.9 + Tiffen ND 1.2 for smoothed water and cloud effects. Labrador Park, Singapore.

Just love going to Labrador Park, the coastal areas are rocky to photograph. One of the natural seascapes of Singapore...

Too bad I came at the wrong time of the year - December period would've been better as the sun would set directly at the edge of the jetty.... Poor me. Don't worry, I will attempt again - in December.

Love this

There are horizontal adapters ma lol. I also considering getting one. My only concern is its actually heavier than the tripod itself lol

Dream Flow

3 Image HDR/DRI 2 image panorama using GND 0.9 Soft + ND 0.9 for smoothed water effects. Changi Beach, Singapore. Another view from Changi. I seem to enter into a state of trance while shooting this.

This is really beautiful. As the tides are low again for sunrise shots these days, may I ask which part of Changi Beach was this taken? And may I ask what was the time when you took this? Since I live in the west, I am wondering if I can make it in time for this. Thanks!

Sorry for my absence guys. Had to take a break from photography because of my other hobby - drawing. :) haha, yep I do draw and illustrate from time to time, I must've been carried away and forgot about what I love to do most. :) I hope everyone's doing fine. Anyway in short, my tripod I would say it's a real good investment especially in the long run -if- you plan to upgrade your camera. It holds up to 8KG, so technically it should hold up the upper ranged cameras like 7D and 5D series.

Hi there, this was taken at Changi Beach Carpark 6. It's just right next to the SAF Ferry Terminal. Going there every time gives me memories of my BMT days. LOL. Now, I quietly mutter to myself; where got time? :D

Went to Changi CP6 again this morning on my day off. :) Was alone there. I prefer this as I can concentrate more on my compositions than getting worried of blocking other fellow photographers.

Raging Earth

5 Image HDR/DRI 2 image panorama using GND 0.9 soft + ND 1.2 for smoothed water and cloud effects. Changi Beach, Singapore.

The tide was low again, I love heading to that place in Changi. =) The twilight hour was also pretty intense that morning. The whole Eastern sky was literally lit up blood red.

Nice one stefan. Guess you did not have the fortune of meeting the 3 stray dogs, guardians of CP6.........

Is it??? :o :o Oh dear... and the worst part is I'm alone when I was there. Who knows what will happen to me... touchwood touchwood.. You saw those dogs before or is it the first time?

First time. Kena chased. Ran for my dear life. Realized I could not outrun them with my gear. Turned around and stood my ground and prayed they would go away. They stopped and left me alone. This was about 6.15am...

Oh vry vry nice! rlly love this  the color is so beautiful

Haha, I guess they're just there temporarily. Hopefully they'll be gone by then. :) But 6.15am... That's very early - I usually reach there around 6.45am LOL.

@ Janetleeyj

Thanks. I'm glad that you liked the behind the scenes shots too! :D It's always good to know how it's been done. :) I owe it all to my trusty Manfrotto. Can't be done without it. :p

Extraterrestrial

5 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 hard + ND 1.2 for smoothed water effects. Changi Beach, Singapore.

Another similar shot to what I did the last time.

I try to be different from what others have shot with that artifact/pot. Not sure if this works but it's worth a shot. It's post-processing and highlights had to be somewhat 'harsher', to accommodate the idea of an unwelcoming extraterrestrial ground.

Much to learn from your thread. I learn from your photo stacking GND with ND filter which I try yesterday which it give awesome result. Your photo always deliver good lighting with good composition in a package, very discipline very professional. Good works, always enjoy your works here.

Ah, nice. I always wish that I can head down to CP6 on the days that the lowest tides coincide with the sunrise timing but unfortunately it always seems to be on a workday.. Yesterday was pretty low, since NEA's site indicates 0.0 m at 06.24 am! I haven't seen those pots/urns in a long time... I think with so many photographers going there these days they just get used as subjects and eventually get washed out further to sea and get revealed at lower tide levels. :P

Just a minor point - the reflection of the sky in the water seems to be significantly brighter. Not sure if it's intentional, but as a purist in such matters, my personal preference is to make it equally bright, or darker. Cheers!

Haha, thanks. 0.0m is amazing. But somehow I was expecting a little more from the shore. I was alittle late when I got there and probably didn't have much time to explore the area. I heard in June there is a day the tide levels will hit a staggering -0.1m :o But that day again is on a measly Wednesday.

Thanks for the feedback. That has always been a problem for me especially when it comes to HDR and DRI. I'm not too sure what's the cause of that but I will try to equalise the lighting of the horizon line. It's probably the GND but that can't be the cause since it's a soft grad. Cheers.

I think its safe to say you won't be able to outrun them even without your gear! anyways its always a bad idea to run away from barking dogs... they take that as a challenge & chase even harder. The best thing to do is just walk away deliberately & calmly WITHOUT  - that's another thing that drives them nuts! come to think abt it just treat them like belligerent ah bengs :bsmilie:

glad it worked out well for you in the end though! ;)

Speaking of dogs, just the other Saturday I was jogging when 2 strays chased after me. :o Can you imagine you're already tired as hell jogging nearly 8km when suddenly you had force yourself to sprint all the way? Lol.

Obstruction in The Line

5 Image HDR/DRI 2 image stitched using GND 0.6 hard to relief spatial tightness on the right. Changi Beach, Singapore. Probably the last one for Changi Beach I took. Enjoy.
