need some help from you guys - i know for my sb800, it comes with 3 colour correction gels.. tho i have yet to use them. after watching all the stuff from joe mcnally, i wonder if i can just cut up some celophane paper and get roughly the same results for my 1-pin slave flash?
TIA!![]()

this probably sounds like a dumb question but what's the benefit of using umbrella? either shoot-thru or reflective.
i'm still using omnibounce more for convenience's sake. i did a search but did not find the answer i wanted. thanks.

Umbrellas are used to create bigger light source, for a more pleasing look.
Shoot-thru umbrella creates seamless shadow; u won't get that hard edge shadows of the umbrellas on your subject, reflective will.
Reflective umbrella puts more light on your subject than shoot-thru umbrella.

Hi all strobist out there,
I would like to ask if any of you guys have a radio trigger that could trigger off a Nissin Di622 flash light?
The hunt for it is making me go mad.haha
Thanks

doesnt it trigger with a generic hotshoe radio trigger? i thought it has an optical slave as well?
IIRC, the 3rd party Phottix triggers work with the Nissin.
Nope, many people tested it but the Nissin just do not trigger off with the radio trigger sold on tago tech, catus,or skyport. yes it has optical slave, but i do not want the on board flash to interfer with the photo. And further more,my camera does not have commander mode. haha!
u dun need a commander mode to fire off an optical slave. but the flash from ur camera will be an interference though.
Oh yes, just the on board flash will trigger off the optical slave.
Just did some reviews,Phottix radio trigger can't trigger off the Nissin flash.
anyone knows?
:dunno:
heard nissin doesn't work with triggers. But you probably already know that. Why not a vivitar (not sure what it's called now after the buy out) or other brand.
