S'pore Strobists?

For me, if its for a quick and dirty job, I would travel with the lightest so its easy going by public transport. E.g. One shoot through brolly, 580EX, light manfrotto stand and sync cord. Two lenses, namely and wide zoom and tele zoom. Its normally done indoors and 15 mins is all I have so one location many different poses.

For bigger jobs, I will carry heavier lights and softbox so its the taxi for me. I normally bring all the stuff. ;p

i bring more or less the same stuff as u except i bring 2 stands and 2 strobes. i am using bowens because the manfrotto nano doesnt seem sturdy if u go outdoors.

Oh yeah you'll definitely need a better lightstand with bigger lights. I am using the el cheapo Jinbei for now since I rarely get 'bigger' jobs. No point investing Elinchroms yet. Normally, two 580EX and, brollies get the job done.

my lights are not big la. just 580s like u. but the wind can still topple the lightstand when the brolly is on it. almost toppled a few times when i first tried outdoors with it. i am tempted to get portable studio lights except my hse got no place to put my gear already.

Opps... looks like my speed reading isn't working. LOL!

For outdoor and windy days, I bring out my voice activated lightstands. :bsmilie: Just kidding... I just use my bag at weight stabilisers. Its ugly but it works.

Depends on the job. I always take 2 cameras a 50 1.4, 70-200 2.8 and 12-24 to cover anything I might need. For other shoots might add a few more lenses or take out a few. Bring a speedlite or strobes, reflector.... Depends really.

my voice activated lightstands have a expensive hourly rental rate. i can't really use my bag to weight the stand down cos its a slingbag and the stands dun have anywhere suitable to weigh it down.

wow. i can't imagine bringing that many stuff unless i have helpers and transport.

More challenging is you're the photographer and the model at the same time... :bsmilie: (Self-portrait)

Give you an idea, tethered shooting and use your bluetooth phone to remotely control the laptop and trigger the camera. ;)

wah ... so much trouble and i shudder to think i need to bring more things.
