True... I think SONY has the only AF CZ system in 35mm DSLR system.
Anyway, I find the noise on the A-900 quite acceptable. I frequently shoot at 1600 and 3200 and the result is excellent.
To be entirely honest, if you print the photos out, you want some form of noise as it will create the Film look which I like. For silky smooth images looks too DIGITAL for me...
Noise is only problematic, when you shoot under and have to brighten or when you zoom in 100% which is a silly things to do.
If you print a ISO 3200 image on 8"x12" and standing on viewing distant (typically at least 3-4x the diagonal of the print) you won't see anything about the noise. To hold up the print to your nose to evaluate the noise is not the way to appreciate an image.
Don't get caught too much with technicality I think... but focus on photography and artistic value of the image.
If you consider this set up A-900 + CZ 24-70 f2.8 + 70-200 f2.8 G+ CZ 85mm f1.4 + 35mm f1.4 G + CZ 135mm f1.8, it give you best bang for the buck in any system at comparable quality and of course all of them will be image stabilised.
That systems gives you high resolution if you shoot it correctly and all the freedom you can have in expressing yourself. I simply love those combination for day to day assignment, plus few other lenses for other application.
Go and do the sum, you will probably know that this system is very very competitively priced and if you can't get a good shot from this system, you have yourself to blame.
Is SONY System good enough? for me yes... but may not be for someone else... and it is a question of relativity.
Take care...
Hart
ps. I don't receive any commission from SONY....
