I feel that the EVF is a "must get" item, and should have been bundled as a standard package with the RX1.

Tested with and without the EVF, and it really helps in doing justice to the RX1 in terms of stable shots and sharp resolution since it helps alot with the stability.

The resolution is better than the EVF of the Nex 7.

Only issue is by having the EVF, it stops your craving to get other accessories such as thumbgrip and the original leather case, as you can't use the other accessories with the EVF attached.

D Gariz half case is a must get too. Really helped on d better gripping. And a good wrist strap and soft shutter button to finalize d setup.

That advised the 28mm ovf. U may want to satisfy yourself before purchase.

how's the RX1's AF speed compared to A65? i am shooting kids and will need v fast AF, A65 AF is fast, but too bulky, rx100's AF is not fast enough, and low light performance is subpar compared to A65...

A65 is a pdaf system, rx1 is a cdaf system. A65 sure win.

AF is okay not super fast in low light.. But u get ff camera in such a small body is great... Was thinking about d600 and rx1.
The oil /dust spot issue is a big turn off for me and IQ for rx1 is slightly better..was at a classy teppanyaki restaurant and couldn't imagine whipping out big dslr and start taking photos.. Somehow it seems obtrusive

The paint on the lens cap could be scratched, especially at the corners. So take extra care of it!
