that refers to the max READ SPEED for the card. the write speed is slower, as written on the packaging of the card.

for Sandisk it's different. the write speed is up to 95mb/s.

Tried most of the different cards, with Sandisk yielding most consistent read and write speed. That's why it is slightly more expensive, but at least it is close to the speed it advertised, compared to some other brands.

With this Nex 6 released, any update on the price drop of its bigger bro Nex7?

Was helping an overseas friend to check last month and Nex 7 with 18-55mm kit lens was asking for only $1.75k, and around $$1.6k for body alone. Any new pricing?

locally should be the usual shops if this uses the same battery as other NEX should be available to most shops like MSColor, SgCameraStore or Tago Tech even Evil-bay if you're willing to wait but last time I orther via evil-bay my batteries never arrive so I suspect since batteries are now controlled items and seen a lot of post in the airport any batteries should eb hand carry not check-in. Tago-Tech is good also got some 3rd party batts from them they only deal online but since this is a local online shop delivery is fast 2-3business days

Price you received is already with some adjustment. About 2 months back it's still 1.8K above at most places for the single lens kit.

actually this might be true I have one 3rd part battery that works on A55 but wont work on my NEX7.... so ensure the battery you buying was tested already. The funny part with my 3rd party battery was they are of same brand but bought them in different occasion one was during A55 the other was recently. The one that I bought previously doesn't work

Can go wisma orchard to molest the camera. but the lens isnt one to focus quickly on the display. U can ask them to put on other lens for you to try

Meanwhile got to let my cam rest for few days. My charger should be here anytime and I hate charging via USB.

Thanks for letting me now , I own two power zooms as mentioned. The Sony one isn't smooth, it's chunky. Yes, it's loud but I haven't tested if the internal mic picks it up.

tried the powerzoom with video, mic didnt pick up anything. i would be disappointed if it did. lucky it didnt.

anyway the kit lens is outperforming my expectation of the previous kit 18-55mm

i think ok lei. i tried a 3rd party batt on my nex 6, it works fine.
