1. My post is directed at 5N owners who are switching to 6.
2. What has shutter count got to owning a system?
3. I have been shooting film SLR since 1964 and 3K frames equate to about 100 rolls which averages about 10rolls per month or about 2 rolls per week for the 11 months I have owned the 5N.
4. And yes, I also shoot film, do you?

i'm one of them trying to sell away the 5n + 16mm lens... i didnt buy many accessories for it.. so its ok for me to dump..

Still, you will lose quite a lot of money. Anyway, enjoy your NEX 6 and show me how much better it is over the 5N, and I will be grateful.

i thought upgrading is sure lose money de... ??? no?
but u lose more cuz of the accessories.

but i wonder from a mirrorless cam upgrade to another mirrorless wu hua bo? wat u all think.
i'm aiming this nex 6 or nikon 5200.

but i guess the ans from u all will be:
"wats ur budget?"
"buys what that fits u most"
"go down and try out yourself, n u will know."

MS Color called even bulk purchase price also won't change.

I guess newly launch they not scared no one buy so won't entertaine for bulk and lower the price for us.

Hi Anthony,

How have you been ? ...I've gotten a Nex 7 since we last met, strangely that camera did not replace my 5N, they both have their strengths in different situations and purposes, different enough for me to warrant keeping both, was contempting the RX100 when it came out but in the end, got a brand new Nex C3 body for $350 instead (This camera has a 50f2 FSU MF len 'glued' onto it ! ;))

The Nex 6 looks like it will fit between the 7 and 5N but I don't feel that it is necessary for me.

The RX1 however .... !

Everyone buys for their own reason, rational or not. For me, on most of the occasion I shoot, it's almost always a family function indoors, and being a former SLR and DSLR owner, I am very used to using flash indoor. I did not buy the NEX 7 because I prefered 16mp on an APS-C sensor, so I bought the 5N. Wished the 6 was available then. I have a very good reason to switch because I am still not very good at shooting with just the LCD. The NEX 6 will fit me better, but my loss of around SGD 800 is not justifiable, so I will have to learn to shoot more often with just the LCD and flash. You must have a good reason to want to switch?
 

no gd reason... lol... so not sure buying anot.

Hi, long time no see.

Also thinking of the RX1 and keep my 5N or pass it to my son. Any more gatherings? I missed the last one because I was not well. At my age, health is just like the weather these days.

Seems like RX1 is the "must get" camera for Year 2013? M tinkering the idea of getting it but also thinking if Sony releases the FF NEX or Fuji releases the FF X system, then will be having to sell the RX1 to fund for this upgrade.. LOL... Shall wait n c... ;)
 

ok the launch of nex6 did stir my interest up a fair bit as well..and anthony..after i sat down to think about my needs and the role for this camera...i decided, 5N is good enough for me, so taking the chance of getting a good deal once nex6 n 5r is release, im camping and waiting for some stores to further lower the price of 5N set...

the new 16-50mm retractable lens did stir my interest, so probably i shld get just the 5N body and buy the 16-50mm lens if possible(Still unsure if there is separate sales for these..if not camp at B&S)

So im pretty sure im going for a 5N at times like this...

What have your delicate age and film to do with my opinion that it isn't worth upgrading? Anyway, I don't shoot film anymore very often, stopped doing that in 2008 when I switched to a DSLR.

Expected that to happen. Hotcakes now and I asked them to reserve 5 sets for me just now and by Sat no news they will release it out. Most prob will go get mine tmr or Sat.

If you are not a 5N owner switching to 6, what has your opinion got to do with my post? You assumed that I only have one camera and shooting 3K frames in 11 months on my 5N was not worth keeping. Your opinion was imbedded with alot of sacarsm and served no purpose at all.
