Shouldn't be a problem with adapted SLR lenses, not interested in rangefinder lenses anyway.

Yup I know, the appeal is a mystery. ;-)

D appeal is tat native e mount lenses can't fully resolve d NEX 7 sensor like d legacy lenses can. Pictures comparison taken between native e mount lenses n legacy lenses confirmed this. I love my cron 35 asph on my NEX 7 n gives me d sharpness n IQ tat d native e mount lenses can't. Sad to say.

Now I switched to X-E1 n m totally blown away. Fuji did a very much better job in making their native lenses as good as Leica, Zeiss or Voigtlander totally tuned to their awesome CMOS sensor. In addition, without d AA filter, all d pictures are super tack sharp.

I have legacy lenses mounted on my 5N myself, I was just talking about rangefinder lenses. ;)

About all lenses, I don't like the close focus limitation and the spectrum of longer focal lengths. Not saying they are bad but I wouldn't buy one for myself. :)

There r alwayz helicoid adaptors to shorten d MFD.

It's a valid option but not the same for me. You can't even get down to 1:2 as far as I know.

Totally agree, although i'm using a Sigma 30mm F/2.8 which i first think it can take very close shot... then in the end... regretted after i found out is the MFD that ruined everything. =) But well what i get back is~ a lesson learnt~

The only choice is to get true macro E mount lenses if it's important to do close ups. My cron 35 asph on Hawk's adaptor works very well to do close ups. As show in these 2 photos...

There is only one and that one doesn't work for everything coz it has a short focal length. Can you recommend me a good M-mount 180/200mm macro or a fast non-macro lens?
