Sony DSLT-A77 and 16-50 f/2.8 SSM hands-on review

I find Sony Singapore Website is kind of slow announcing the A77. Even though market is small and stocks are not yet in (probably), at least they should announce it already.

I see their website only have the A35, 5N and C3 as their latest model. Sony Malaysia Website have the A77, A65 updated for weeks already. Maybe they are still unsure at what SRP the DSLT will be.

Sgp was never the first in all new models that was launched.

However if it does appears at sony website, then stock will reach the stores within days.

Nex5n reached most parts of asia countries first, but when sony sgp list them on website 2 weeks after hk got it, the stock soon reached the stores within 3 days.

Since hk has a77 in stock now, lets hope the same thing happen again in 2 wks time.

Anyway, F1 will be over this week, so i am not in hurry and 2-3weeks more of waiting is not a life and death issue since we already waited for 4 yrs right?

Should go to DxOMark.com and read the full review. They compared amongst Sony other SLT and DSLR for impact of pellicle mirror on ISO, A77 with other semi-pro from Nikon and Canon. Canon is really showing it's age. And finally, with full frame. It's really closing the gap in performance except ISO. Then again A77 has a very different proposition. Good review

Yes. Trust me, once you tried this cam like wat i did, you are going to buy it no matter wat. Anyway dxomark ratings are rubbish.

D7000 in real world do not really perform as good as they rates. In fact i find the output of 60d better in most aspects esp colors of skin tone.

Can not resist anymore, just ordered an A77 from malaysia. I think their pre-sale promotion(free gifts + 24 months installment) is very attractive.

D7000 in real world do not really perform as good as they rates. In fact i find the output of 60d better in most aspects esp colors of skin tone.

Agree.. I've found so many excellent reviews of many digital cameras on internet but they are not as nice as "advertised" on the reviews..
So, be humble with ourselves to judge ...

The video on the evf performance is excellent, i never expect evf to be like this.

What's your main constraint with your D700 ?

no constraint with my d700, in fact i equally use both for assignments(wedding ,events).
now i only have one of each 850 and d700, the a77 would be a nice backup for the 850,but the d7000 price is dropping.

If u hv heard how the shutter sound and how the camera feel, you will want one immediately.

A77 will surely as a great backup for A850 imo.
The fun factor is the main reason to have the new generation of Alpha (A65/77) since the AF is very quick (almost instant) in VF or LV mode and the EVF itself is very nice .
