nope. purely singaporean. just so happen to be of another race maybe not so uncommon in singapore these days

Oooh....exotic. I like :)

My guess Sony SG will be around SGD1999 then?

If that's true, the A77 will price itself out most newbies,no disrespect to their financial muscle, saved for the brave ones who knows what they are getting themselves into.

Anyone willing to splurge thousands of dollars on a photographic tool is either serious, passionate, rich, crazy or all of the above..........

Well, in de big picture 2k for a body (and presumably a lens and I read somewhere dat de 16-50/2.8 will be de kit lens for de 77) is not THAT expensive. Several lenses alone are already more expensive than dat.

Have u heard of a hobby called hi fi? A power cable can cost north of $5k and amplifiers and speakers can buy a small BMW - each!

Besides, u shouldn't look at it as 2k in absolute. Rather, u should consider if u re already going to spend, say, $1.4k or $1.5k on an a65, why not spend dat extra $400 or $500 more and go all de way? Other than de additional performance gains, there is also an enjoyment in owning a good piece of equipment - similar to those who own ferraris or lambos. They dun buy them to drive 300kmh everyday.

This is subjective... yes you are right..all of the above. no doubt about that.. But for the many.. sometimes they just come to a point..hey whats the point if i keep saving the money.. i should spend some right.. there.. so they get 1 and feel happy about it. thats kind of healthy ill say..and anyway.. 2k isnt really alot considering if you've already start working..
I guess the bottomline is whatever it is..spent within limit and know what you are buying if possible.

Life is short. Be happy and enjoy ^_^

Nah. Look at the amount of newbies buying a 7D, or a D7000 kit, or even 5D MkII. There's a psychological aspect too... "More expensive means better".

Thais are trannies = insult
Thai tranny = some descriptive form of phrase which I can't remember

Anyway, since kei's gender is always in question, I think we should label him as an 'it'. No gender. :D

Bro, since Kei put "gender = male" in the profile, I think we should honour that and call Kei as a "he", regardless of how misleading the profile pic may be.

I suggest you loosen up a notch. Jokes are meant to be jokes and nothing more. Only a 7-year-old won't know he is a grown man.
