That's the correct packaging. When I bought mine from HN, it was the same packaging. When my friend got it at Cathay Photo, it was the same packaging.
As for the warranty, just go to Sony website and you can register with the serial number.

thanks bro... i wonder if i should get the sony screen protector or just use the one HN provided... dunno what brand...but it only covers the display area of the glass behind, not the whole glass...
The Sony screen protector is the hard glass type i think and it is pasted only with the double side tape style at the perimeter areas surrounding the protector. Not sure how lasting is it as compared the the conventional type that is pasted on top of the whole LCD.

An alternative is to get the Gariz half case. I find that it gives better grip and the leather feels nice. Also it affords some protection from knocks. However, it's not cheap, but then it makes the RX100 looks more 'upper class'.

Hi, firstly, I have the Flipbac G3 and its quite nice but if anyone is organizing to buy the Franiec grip (and share shipping cost), please count me in as I like to try that and see which works better.
Secondly, I also have a "problem". Recently, went on holidays and keep my RX100 in the Lowepro pouch (attached to my belt). Many times, I find that the RX100 get switched on by itself (and get very warm and draining the battery). Anyone encounter the same problem? Not sure if it is because of the "play" button (since it is raised) and if there is any known solution. Thanks.

Try Sony shop in Aeon at Bukit indah or other Sony shop in JB. If you don't mind buying from there of cos.
