Sony DSC-RX100

I bought the Sony NEX 5N couple with Ziess lens, picture is so much better than my Sony RX100 (1st version). I will stick to my my Sony NEX 5N and so call expensive lens. Expensive?? so are my Nikon
lens each cost 1k plus. Damn I not rich.

Just got my RX100.... from Malaysia.... All I can say is that it's cheaper than HK....
PM if anyone is keen to know where and how much. Don't want to upset those selling their RX100 in Marketplace

It's a pity the EVF is quite expensive and makes it difficult to pocket when on. I use the clearviewer (link below) with my RX100. It's cheap. Very effective and folds flat against the RX100 so you can put it in your pocket. Highly recommended.

Can't use this. The reason I am using RX-100 II is because it has swivel LCD in an Ultra compact body. Great for taking shots in crowded areas (overhead) and also can be used for low angle shots especially for eye level of small kids. Different equipment for different uses my friend. If I need a DSLR, I will whip out my 5D3. Its a great camera too.

Well... duh. Of course it's better.

Just bought a RX100 II a few days ago. Very good PQ for a compact, small and compact. Good enough for me to sell off my XE-1 system today - XE1 PQ is much better but refresh rate is very slow so not good for my many MF lenses, plus it's bulky.

Hi. How much is the RX-100 II now? Looking for Xmas gift. Many thanks.

Regards.

Anybody bring your RX100 to winter country (>-0) before, care to share your experience.

It does work in super extreme conditions like below zero. I know it sounds unbelievable.

The clearviewer has a flexible mount. You can fold it out of the way if you want an overhead shot or low angle.

Many thanks for the price info.

Rgds
