Is it something like the Union & Management sort of relation?
The Union will represent the employees to negotiate for benefits for the employees. So in this case, Sony being the Management, the committee will be the Union and the rest of us users are the employees. :think: It's just a bridge to communicate & work towards the benefits of everyone but only the committee will be the basic touch points.

so, who gets to decide who is in the union? Brand? the lucky 50?
I rather have it in a way, Sony can have a nick here, if got event post here, then we share... who ever want, can apply to go... better rite? why segregate ourselves as a group into a MLM?
I think they may not want to be so exclusive to "this" group, as it was open to all "A" mount KM or Sony users in the first place, or may be more exclusive to ClubSNAP "A" mount user. So don't really see breaking the bond among the brother here.
I believe they have thier own issue also, may be due to the seminar place, or budget, that may be the reason to the limitation of 50 personnel during the outing.
Unforturnately, because the time wasn't fit, so some bro cannot make it for the outing, but they still reserve the T-shirt for them for future collection, if I am not wrong.
Possibly because all the deals in email are not official yet, that's why it only announce to the one involve in the last workshop.

Agreed. Each had their points, all sounds valid depending on the angle you are coming from. Certain things are good to be exclusive, while certain things are better not to be exclusive.
I don't think Sony just wants to reach out to the "50" .. I am sure they want to reach out to as many Alpha mount user as possible. Everything has to start somewhere.. any maybe the 50 was just a convenient figure to start with..? :dunno:
The formation of the committee will provide more liaison and direction for this group of people... And the formation of the group will aid Sony in their targeted marketing to this group of A-mount users (which is not a bad thing IMO, since I am not forced to buy anything but I will have first hand info and maybe exclusive good deals?). I think the group will also have a stronger voice to Sony if we have any opinions on their products/service. Win-win situation ba..

well, its not about the tee now... if u read my post, its about the point 3 in specific.
now wanna start another group... what for? exclusive 50 group?
how i perceive now, maybe very biased...
(B) comes in and see that we need t-shirt then offer from sony as a 3rd party (cos never know him until the t-shirt, then not working for sony)
(B) with good gesture give 50, then seek logo, then we provide clubsnap logo.
So now sony got 50 of CS members...
But why does he suggest having a group out of CS exclusive for the 50? when you guys only met up once to get the Tee?
This is a sharing community... how come he wanna separate?

I'm more geared towards majority than minority...
Thats why i always share what i know... provided i got the time to go for outings lah...
well, I think he never specific that this group will be limited to 50 people, it's may be just that now they have "1st contact" with us, it's easier to choose from the people who have attend the workshop. Personally I don't see any point why Sony want the group to be limited into 50 people only in the future, to gain business/sales, they will sure increase to a bigger group in the future, the "50" may be is just a starting point, to lure more people joining by having the exclusiveness for feeling special (I do feel I am being treated much better than during KM time, sometime I do envy Canon & Nikon have official arranged outing), & disperse the BBB virus (I bet a lot of bro kena after trying the CZ lenses during the workshop :sweat
