If I am planning to get 300mm f/2.8 with SSM at that price, I think I probably would jump ship and get canon 5D + 300mm f/2.8 :sweat:

ya...the glass pieces r cheap actually...its the workmanship (swimming,rowing,sinking of houses, drowning) that makes the lens expensive... :sweatsm:

Just another rumor....

Heard the new camera will only be known in September 2007, this is from a local source. Maybe the europe/us rumor got the date mixed up when they saw the date 7/9/07. :dunno:

Going to be a long wait, hope $ONY not making us wait that long for the T-Shirt as well.
