well that would really mean sony is going full force in undercutting the prices of the semi-pro market, assuming of course the a7xx specs would be equal to the d300s/50D.
Not surprising. This year alone Sony release a total 6 new camera bodies. Everyone of them is price in a lower or very reasonable range. I would expect the same trend for A7xx replacement.

I wouldn't say under cutting but rather pricing it more reasonably. Sony is still trying to capture the market so they will offer better pricing to attract more users as most consumers will respond better to lower pricing rather than compare price vs features.
Yes, and I would assume the A7xx would have maybe some innovative features or high-end features like micro-AF adjustments, bigger VF, higher FPS, 720p video probably, MF liveview...and most anticipated Exmor R sensor...
Sony would probably use A7xx platform to showcase some new technologies or features like what it did with the launch of A700 2 years ago...features that competitors don't have or struggling to have...

huge improvement. I oso have a350 but disappointed in high iso noise, but I dun think its worth to upgrade just for faster fps and better noise control. I will save for FF cam
I have A500 and had the 350 (sold it to fund the a500).
Noise control on a500 is much better than a350.
Last time the C n N love to criticize the ISO of the A2xx and A3xx series. Now lets see what they have to criticize about A500. Probably use the age old "no movie recording" argument again.
Canikon fanboys complain about everything...
I even heard one from another thread telling me GF1+lens+accessories cost more than a D700 body...I almost dropped off my chair when seeing that comment...
Some people just argue for sake of arguing without doing actual homework and making themselves appear like fools...
Just for correction--it's called Canikon.
BTW, we are surely not having planetary invasions against each other. We all come in peace. Just shoot with the maximum shutters speed power you have and capture each other in photo frames:bsmilie:.

I also has 1 funny experience.
Go outing with my friend, and he bring another guy with him. This guy is very young, a JC boy I think. Before my friend introduce us each other, When he saw my camera, the 1st words he say is "Ah, Nikon is crap!" I just smile and say, "yes Nikon is crap!" He is very happy heard what I say, and ask me to move to his brand. I answer him, never, I'm using Sony. And his words is "Sony too a crap!"
So, we go for photoshots, and I found lot of his works is underexposed or overexposed. So I ask him, why like that, can you read the meter? And guess what his answer

actually i just tried my friend's Nikon D90, the high ISO performance is amazing, win my A330 hands down! now i am wondering why din i settle for a higher end camera, not sure if the 500D and D5000 has the same performance, any comments?
Give u some perspective...i used to owned a700 and d90 at same time...and sold off the d90 after 2 days of intensive testing. Factors considered were handling, af speed and noise. A700 wins for all and tied for noise.
